Liked: Balmers was a great place to stay in interlaken. While the food and drinks were a little expensive if you hit up the bar during happy hour you can get two carona's for 6franks which is pretty decent. (I wouldn't not recommend mixed drinks, they were pretty bad) Our room was right beside the bathroom which we thought would be a annoying, however I was not distrubed by it at all. Noise: They closed down the outside seating area right at 10pm which was nice. I was never disturbed at night by noise... however we were not in the rooms above the bar so I'm not sure what that would have been like. Lots of stuff to book directly through the hostel... however, if you do some research you may find some cheaper options The directions listed in the hostel bookers site were very confusing, I would advise mapquesting the hostel before you go. All around a great place to stay! If you like thai food, there is a fantastic place next door of the hostel, it was the best food we had in switzerland. Also, don't pay for internet at the hostel - right beside the thai place is Daniels Rentals internet is 2franks for 20 mins... great deal! And renting scooters was reasonably priced and a great time!

Liked: had everything you could ever need. from a biergarten and restaurant to travel supplies to a games room to easy access to all the extreme activities. great staff, fun place to party. showers were usually pretty cold and the beds werent the most comfortable thing but it was a small price to pay for everything else!

Liked: The hostel stuffs were friendly and helpful. You could buy train ticket to Jonfraujoch directly from this hostel and they provide free bus ride.The hostel's decoration is interesting. Fun to stay.

Liked: balmers has a fabulous boss who knows what traveler wants and kind staffs who has a lovely smile everyt time even though they have to say same thing every minute~ and there are lots of thing to do and to enjoy, if you want to enjoy the sport, just say to the staff, they will make a reservation instead of you. or if you want to enjoy the night, there is a hot place in interaken

Liked: The hostel had everything onsight such as a bar and a restaurant. The only bad thing it wasnt open on Mon and Tue- the days we were there. The staff was great and the place had a great atmosphere

Liked: Well its was defintally good enough to stay their a 2nd time.. we did. But the 10 bed was way nicer than the 8 bed so that was kind of dumb. But over all a really great place to stay.

Liked: The staffmembers were uber helpful. It was well-kept and clean. It did smell strongly of french fries, though. And it was really noisy - because it is geared toward partying tourists.
