Liked: Clean and good facilities. Very easy to find from the station. Really great showers (for backpackers coming from places with pathetic showers, it's fantastic!). Free luggage storage after leaving.

Disliked: Not always very quiet with the bar downstairs.

Liked: Location - only 5 minutes from train station. Nice views from our room and clean.

Disliked: Only a few bathrooms for a lot of people.

Liked: Cheap and not far from Interlaken West Hbf. There is a kitchen and free internet,it is great but so many people like to cook.

Disliked: It is difficult to find this hostel so there should have some sign to go. Small room for 4 people and not enough equipments in kitchen.

Liked: It is located right in the heart of Interlaken, the rooms were clean, comfortable, and CHEAP! We had a 4 person private room for 2 nights - the beds were great, there is a sink in the room, and many bathrooms and showers throughout the building. The kitchen was fully equipped (and had a nice view). Very cool old building, with a bar on the ground floor at night (there were not many other travelers around when we were there, but it seemed like a nice place for a drink). The staff was INCREDIBLY helpful, including taking messages for us, allowing us to make local calls, and even booking events in town for us. Directly across the street from a nice little supermarket and about a 5 minute walk from Interlaken West train station. Oh, and free wifi!

Disliked: There was a faint smell when we arrived in our room but this quickly resolved with a little airing out.

Liked: Very clean, with a good though small kitchen. No big communal area and the place is a bit of a rabbit warren so hard to meet people other than when you're working around each other in the kitchen.

Disliked: Around 10euro/day parking, and it didn't look like a lot of options on the street. Often hard to find hostel staff, they seem to cover a couple of hotels. Internet machine in lobby charges CHF5 per half hour which may just be enough time to get your email open.

Liked: Great value for money backpackers with a million dollar view from the kitchen window. Our double room was good sized and comfy with an en-suite bathroom with only minor issues like the faulty light switch. We would definitely give the Alp Lodge another go. Free Wifi in common areas but didn’t reach our room on the 3rd floor.

Disliked: The shared kitchen is way too small and poorly equipped for the number of rooms. It needs a bigger microwave and some microwave cookware wouldn’t go astray. And to the person who pinched the power adaptor plug thing-o for the jug so nobody could make coffee, thanks for nothing. I suspect it could get a little noisy during the busy season but not while we stayed.

Liked: The location that near to train station, cooking facilities and the locker provided by this hostel.

Disliked: Toilet and shower facilities would not be sufficient if more people have stay in there.

Liked: Interlaken is VERY expensive, so the price on this place is great and definitely helps lessen the blow of how much everything else costs. The rooms are a good size and there are plenty of spacious and clean bathrooms. Good kitchen setup with fridge, cooker, and even a microwave and dishwasher. Staff is pretty nice, and it's right across the street from a grocery store and near the train station.

Disliked: Internet is slow and expensive and there's no free breakfast, but otherwise no complaints!

Liked: Great location got a 40% discount on one of the cable carts (Schilthorn) which was rally helpful as switerland is so expensive.The lady at reception was very helpful but then she resigned and the rest werent so helpful.

Disliked: THE WALLS ARE PAPER THIN! If you intend on wanting sleep dont stay here we stayed here 3 nights and hardly slept due to people talking and stomping round the place.
