Situated on a small plateau on Douanne Mountain this idyllic and natural setting has a spectacular view over not only the lake and St Peter’s Island but also on to the Alpine panorama.

The entire establishment has been specially designed for clients with reduced mobility and is equipped with leisure facilities; a banqueting hall; conference center and rooms for holding courses, meetings etc.

Audio-visual equipment and wifi are at your disposal as are the sports hall, the games areas and swimming pool.

On the border between the French and German speaking regions, in the three-lake district, Douanne offers enormous cultural and geographic variety with a wide panoply excursions and activities to discover.

We are ideally located for walkers. You can wind through the spectacular Douanne (Twann in German) Gorges, or over Jura hilltops or for the less energetic along the lakefront through the vineyards and their typical lakeside villages and perhaps on to St Peter’s Island. Many adventure sports are also available in the area and the lake is close by for water sports. Macolin, the Swiss National Sports training centre is close by.

Numerous attractions such as Papillorama the butterfly, tropical gardens and nocturnal wildlife park are also available. Viniterra Vinothek wine museum and tasting centre, the Latenium an archaeological center constructed in an area renowned for it’s lake side constructions and pilotis houses from the glacial era are also nearby.

Aventicum, Switzerland’s best conserved historical site with it’s arenas and amphitheatre; the Frog museum and many, many more in each of the neighbouring towns Neuchâtel, Bienne, La Neuveville and Morat are all also worth a look.
