STF/HI Skeppsholmen

STF Youth Hostel Skeppsholmen is located in Stockholm's city centre but on a secluded and calm spot on the small island Skeppsholmen.
The Hostel is overlooking the Gamla Stan (the Old Town) and the Royal Palace. The Youth Hostel's reception and rooms on Skeppsholmens YH is located in a beautiful yellow 19th century building next to the af Chapman.
This building also has an unusual history - the original building used to serve as lodgement for the royal navy crew in the 19th century.

PLEASE NOTE: Skeppsholmen Youth Hostel is a IYHF-hostel. All prices are for IYHF-members.
Adult non members will be charged an additional fee of 50 SEK /night and children 25 SEK/night on arrival.

Stay in regular rooms with bunk beds. Reception is open 24 hours and there is no curfew.

From the hostel you are close to Stockholm's museums, restaurants and entertainment.

The museum of Modern art and the Eastasian museum are located on Skeppsholmen.
A ferry provides you with easy access to the
nearby island Djurgården where the popular Skansen open air museum and the Vasa Museum are located. Other attractions located on Djurgården are the amusement park Gröna Lund, the Aquaria watermuseum and the Nordic museum. You can also visit the wonderful world of Astrid Lindgren at Junibacken. From the hostel it is only a few minutes walk to boats to the Stockholm Archipelago.

Our ecological breakfast buffet is very popular.

Our hostel is a meeting place for people from near and far, including global travellers, interrailers and families with children. Many of our guests return to enjoy the pleasant environment and to take advantage of the superb location again.

Children born 1996 or later will get a discount on arrival.

We accept most credit cards. We have a 24hour reception, so it`s no problem with late check in as long as we have a credit card number as a guarantee. You can come anytime in the morning to leave your luggage but you will get your Room/Bed at 3 p.m. Check out time is 11 a.m.

We have a café on the boat open weekends and during summertime, everday.

Accommodation Information

Mixed 4-6 bedded rooms with bunkbeds, a small table, a sink, reading lamps and lockers to keep your belongings in. You need a paddlock to lock it. You can bring your own or buy from us in the reception. Private/family rooms available with 2-6 beds.
Shower/WC are in the corridor and shared with others. Free wifi in the common areas, pooltable, a small guestkitchen and TV-room.
