Liked: I stayed in a double share room on the red boat (not the second white one) with a friend.. It was gorgeous, with so much character.. Great hot showers, clean facilities & the reception area included a small bar and 2lounge/sitting areas (which got a little cold as the night went on) but were so cute! Would definately recommend a stay here

Disliked: A little cold in some areas- but they provide extra blankets which come in handy to wrap around yourself when youre upstairs

Liked: So atmospheric and great location. Was moved from my booked 10-bed dorm to a 4-bed one without asking upon arrival as apparently there was a potentially noisy group in the 10-bed one, which was great service, at no extra cost.

Disliked: I wasn't made aware of any safe padlocked storage so had to carry all my semi-valuables with me, but it may just have been that I missed it in my rush to get out exploring the city. The room itself locked and seemed safe enough anyway.

Liked: Really nice atmosphere, cosy. The beds were comfortable and the rooms warm. I slept really really well.

Disliked: The rooms were small, but that was expected. The changing area in the bathroom wasn't very private.

Liked: Great novelty staying on a boat, the rooms are tight but perfectly adequate. Bathrooms were always clean and not busy at all. Great shower and breakfasts too!

Disliked: It was a little hard to find, especially if you arrive late and in the dark. Once we found it though we were fine. Close to restaurants and the very trendy Sodermalm district.

Liked: Characterful, confortable, great breakfast and great location. Check in and out was a breeze and we couldn't have ask for more.

Liked: The boat itself had a history and held lots of nautical bits and pieces and the staff were great.

Liked: I liked the novelty of staying on a boat. There was a bar and breakfast buffet and rooms were kept clean and tidy. Very good value for money would definatley go back

Disliked: There could be more bathroom and toilet facility's but this wasn't a big problem.

Liked: The Red Boat Mälaren is perfectly located to explore Södermalm and Gamla Stan, and is very close to lots of restaurants and fun places to hang out! You really can't beat the location (unless you stay IN Gamla Stan!). Plus, the vibe of the old boat is fabulous - you feel as if you've stepped back in time. Everything is vintage and old, but still in good shape.

Disliked: The bunk rooms are very snug because they used to be sailors bunk rooms. The rooms also tend to steam up with four people sleeping in one room. The walls are also paper thin, so you can hear every word of your neighbor's conversation. But, I think all this is pretty standard for most hostels, and can be part of the experience.

Liked: The experience on staying on a boat.

Disliked: The shared dorms can get very hot and stuffy if there are many guests in the same room even if the conditions are cool outside.

Liked: Very clean, good location, youth crowd, nice view over Stockholm city center. Being a boat, definitely gives it a different atmosphere and charm compared to ordinary on-shore hostels.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: very sweet and beautifully deccorated boat hostel, friendly helpful staff - everything and more than what u expect from low cost accommodation

Disliked: a little cramped but way more spacious than anything in hong kong for example (lol), no bike hire.

Disliked: Rooms are very small with thin walls - I'd recommend you bring your earplugs, though everyone was considerate and quiet when we stayed there.
