Liked: GOOD:1. I loved the "boatiness" of it2. Plenty of hot water in the showers3. Good selection of beers sold on-site4. Close to the town centreBAD:1. No real doors on showers, only curtains, although privacy was always respected by other guests2. Non-existent view if not on the river side - we had a view of the bottom of the pavement out of our room!3. Quite hot and stuffy inside due to small size of window.Overall I really enjoyed my stay. The hotness was a little unfortunate but it wasn't overpowering and I was there at probably the hottest time of the year. While a better view would have been nice I was happy to sit out on the deck until I wanted to go to bed, so also wasn't a real problem.

Liked: The staff were exceptionally helpful, this was particularly useful as we had a few issues with our party and the Red Boat crew couldn't do enough to help us. Throughly enjoyed our stay and would happily stay there again.

Liked: the wonderful view of Stockholm from there, the huge swedish breakfast (not included however...), I was just worried about the fact that the luggage room is shared with all,outside the boat

Liked: The boat is a nice play to stay. The rooms are small and stuffy. Our room smelt foisty and unclean, whch made our clothes smell. however location is excellent. If you're backpacking and ont intend o pend a lot of time in your room then its a good hostel to stay in.

Liked: the fact that you're actually sleeping in a boat, the people who worked there were very nice and made you feel confortable and the location:it's just between the old classical neigbourhood and the supertrendy södermalm, perfect.

Liked: The beautiful old Red Boat Hostel is situated in a fantastic place - 5 min walking distance from Old-Town and 15 min from Central Station. The boat is very clean, especially showers and toilets. I would definately recommend Red Boat as a perfect acommodation place for people who don`t need majore luxus, but prefer sweet cosiness, the sence of history and good accessibility.

Liked: This place has a lot of character and is certainly a bit different to the standard hostelling experience. Despite being a little off the beaten track it's a great location, with Gamla Stan and funky Sodermalm nearby. Would certainly recommend though bear in mind that it lacks many of the normal hostel facilities - kitchen, free internet, laundry (which is a bit of a problem as there are no launderettes in Sweden at all - I had to wait until I got to Norway to wash anything).

Liked: It's a bit desappointing not to stay in the red boat (full of character and beautiful) but to stay in the sister ship a bit less funny. As clean a s a boat can be. To be avoid by tall people

Liked: People easily prone to the slightest form of motion sickness should be aware that some movement is inevitable due to the river waves. Nevertheless, the waves aren't that frequent or strong, just something to know before-hand. Otherwise, a pretty good location and a definitive atmosphere to explore Stockholm!

Liked: The view from the deck on the boats is amazing as you look right back across the city. The only problem is that you have to walk across the bridge all the time to get to the city as the boat is not on the city side of the harbour. This is fine if you leave in the morning and dont come back till night. Also, there is a busy road along the boat, so if you are not on the harbour side, you need to wait till late before the noise dies down. Overall, i would recommend this for the experience if you can overcome some of these smaller things.
