Liked: The Red Boat is cheap and cheerful, ideally located to explore Stockholm. The cabins are small, I wouldn't want to stay more than a couple of days, but the place brims with character which more than makes up for the creeping sense of claustrophobia.

Disliked: Nothing. I really liked it, would come back and recommend it to friends.

Liked: Great location - easy walking distance to the old town (Gama Stan). 24 hour reception was handy too given our plane was delayed and we ended up arriving at 3am in the morning! We were worried that we would be cold during the night, particularly given it had snowed and was -12 degrees! Not to worry, each room has its own heater and was quite warm. Bedding was clean and very good quality (in fact, nicer sheets than I have at home!)

Disliked: We stayed in a private 2 bunk room - the rooms were quite small, but we expected this given we were staying ont the a boat! The walls are really really thin, I could hear a person snoring in the room next to us and in the morning, it was really noisy with everyone getting ready. One really bad thing is that there is only 1 shower for the women for the whole of the red boat (the men had 2 showers), this meant a massive queue in the morning and/or people having showers add odd hours like 4am and waking people up.

Liked: cozy and clean boat cabin with good view of the lake. Very stylish reception and dinning room.

Disliked: A smell of disinfectant in the hallway, and the shower is not easy to use.

Liked: The location, 5 minutes from the main city centre and 5 to go to party; and the fact that it is a boat. Good in case you are going only to sleep of course

Disliked: The smell in the room was terrible in the afternoon, the cleaning staff was rude, and they even entered in our room without knocking the door.

Disliked: We travelled to stockholm for the weekend and only stayed for 1 night at the hostel. We were unable to have a shower however as their were no towels provided.

Liked: It's a very beautiful and silent place. Internet worked well too, as I needed.

Disliked: It's not close to the main atractions. I think breakfast should be included in price, as it's not so cheap.

Liked: Good location, only 15 minutes by foot to the Royal Palace! Before breakfast I even could walk to Fjallgatan to enjoi the view of the city. The staff is very friendly. The decoration of the lunch room is also impressive. The breakfast is rich.

Disliked: The room is rather cramped, but if you come there to sleep overnight, it is OK, similar to the sleeping carriage in the soviet train. I found it was rather cold in the night, but solved this problem by turning the thermostat on the battery from 15 to 20 degrees. One more advise: if you do not like noise of raining, do not select the room under the shower room.

Liked: Incredibly helpful staff, cool character to the place, cute warm room just right for two! this place was recommended to us by my husband's uncle who loved his stay here in the 1970's, and the place is still great!

Disliked: Obviously being on a boat space is limited but fine for one or two nights if you don't mind things being a bit cosy!

Liked: Great location, close to everything. the bar area is nice, plenty of character.

Disliked: Smells wet in the room...found out why the hard way. Water came in through the small window during the day and wet all our stuff. Rooms get hot and very stuffy.

Disliked: The smell, the cleaning, the lack of air. We had to sleep with the door open to be able to breathe!! it was a 4-bed dorm, but couldn't fit 4 suitcases.

Liked: As soon as you approach the boat ,you immediately get a great feeling of having made a brilliant choice.It is so atmospheric.It is small ,but so cosy.The decor in the breakfast/lounge area makes you feel as if you don't want to leave it and explore beautiful Stockholm.The closeness of the centre and old town Gamal Stad is just wonderful.I wished we could have stayed longer.The cabins were very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Thank you so much....................
