Liked: Staff very helpful and cells(yes cells),very clean and having visited 2 years ago the standards are still high.The breakfast can appear expensive but the food is of very high standard and would recommend it.

Disliked: Would thought that if buying breakfast for duration of stay that the price would be lower other than that nothing to dislike.

Liked: Special Atmosphere, Nice to sleep in a Cell

Disliked: Because of the special Weather it was very warm and there's no climate control in the old Cells (because its more or less original...)

Liked: I liked that the hostel was so close to a beach. The scenery was nice and the idea of staying in a former cell was appealing. The hostel has done a nice job at converting it.

Disliked: The washrooms and showers were disgusting and had a terrible smell both days. Also, the staff was unable to advise me on where to go to see or do certain things or even how to get to most tourist areas. The prices for food and drinks were outrageous. They also make you mop and sweep your room before you leave otherwise you get charged a cleaning charge. Lastly, because of where the showers are located, make sure you bring EVERYTHING with you, so when you leave you are dressed, otherwise you'll be walking back in the museum with people walking around looking at the displays.

Liked: We like it because it has character & a lot of places to go to...style very representative of swedish interiors...We also like LOTTE... your front desk staff who was very honest & helpful in booking us an airport taxi to the airport with the right & reasonable price.

Disliked: We do not like your front desk staff -MARTIN...who was trying to earn a commision from us with booking us with an expensive taxi service... at 495 SS to the airport...and was trying to double book us with our previous airport taxi booking of 390 SS... we are not stupid... he should stop treating tourist that way when they are inquiring.

Liked: the theme (it´s an old prison, very unique.), comfortable room, breakfast went extra for 9 euros and worth it.

Liked: The location is not as good as they say, a little bit far from the city center and you have to walk 15 minutes to the nearest T-Bana station.

Liked: Good quiet place and a room for three with a shower and bathroom, what else do you need? Not exactly in town but very close, it took less than 30minutes to get there and it was easy

Liked: very cool to stay in a prison. We stayed in an ensuite 2 bunk room, which was fitted out well in top Sweedish design.

Liked: First of all environment is very nice, very beautiful island and they protected the history of this island with of course the prison.

Liked: Fantastic location for an hostel! The silence and calm are the main features! The cell is small but full of character! The bathroom is modern and clean. Breakfast is amazing!
