Jennifer SouthworthThis is a very unique place to stay - you actually ARE in a prison cell, it's tiny, but pretty fun. The staff is VERY helpful, they answered about 50 of our questions about everything from the kroner to the airport. On our last morning there, I missed breakfast, but when I went to the cafe, the host was incredibly generous and asked the kitchen to make me a sandwich, even though they were closed. I ended up with a DELICIOUS sandwich for free for breakfast. It's a little bit loud - my friend had trouble every night because she could hear the heavy cell doors slamming and people walking. We have a theory that it might be ghosts - but in any case, it's not the quietest place to stay. It was also a little bit far from the metro, Overall, I liked it though. |

Customer reviewI liked that the property was situated in a park. It was nice to feel the historic character of the hotel - former prison. |

Tarnya AllenThis hostel had so much character and was surrounded by a beautiful lake and nature park. It was also close to the Metro which made it very easy to get around Stockholm. The atmosphere was fantastic! I would never stay on a hotel in the city when i could stay at the Langholmen. |

Dániel RákosIt was cheap, close to the nature and the city. It has beautiful environment and a particular mood of the building. I really enjoyed it. |

Zoe LaqngdellThe dorm room was very well furnished with sturdy beds and comfy mattress toppers and pillows. The dorms did feel a bit 'separate' from the main prison bit, it seemed only the full paying guests got the rooms in the old cells, the dorms are in an adjoining annex. The staff were friendly and helpful, apart from one guy who kept trying to make things difficult. The kitchen was really well stocked, but not a very sociable place. The breakfast was very varied, but I thought a little expensive, and catered to the more 'hotel' guests. |

Customer reviewTwin room was bunkbeds, 6m2, and located in the prison museum. Weird. Linen and towels costs extra (60 SEK plus 20 SEK) and non-membership of Hostel (50 SEK). Consider this when booking. It IS a prison. |

Customer reviewGood distance from the city centre and secluded and great parking facilities. Good links to get to the city centre and the staff were very friendly. The service was great, the food was excellent, the hostel was clean and quiet at night and most of all it was a great novelty sleeping in an old prison. If I ever go back to Stockholm, I will definitely go back to Langholm Hostel. |

Frank TopVery good location, lots of water and nature. Good 24h reception, breakfast buffet has good food, clean rooms and bathrooms. Room was a bit small for the price, but did have good facilities (private bathroom, safe, no shortage of power sockets for electronics, free wireless internet). Transportation is pretty easy to get to. It's a 10 minute walk to the nearest T-bana station (Hornstull). All in all a very nice hostel, and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Stockholm. |
