Liked: Great atmosphere and super location. The rooms were really nice and even the 8 bed rooms were designed so there was some privacy. Kitchen and dining facilities were good.

Disliked: Reception closing from 8pm-8am was a bit of a downer. Also I think it could have used a few couches.

Liked: The place was easily accessible on the T-bana.Spacious and clean with quite private bunks despite choosing to be in the 12 bed bunk

Disliked: Didn't have a lounge to hangout in after dinner except in the kitchen

Liked: It is a nice place to stay. The decorations are really funny. The stuff is very nice and they helped us in all what we needed.

Disliked: Maybe the price is a little bit high for students.

Liked: Location was great, hot showers, very clean hostel, friendly staff. Loved it!

Disliked: The fact that there is nobody responsible for the hostel after 20h. You can come and go at what hour you wish because you have a code, but when we were there, some extra people slept in the dorm without paying and disturbed others.

Liked: Confortable and clean bedrooms, very clean toilets, staff very friendly, free internet access, and close to the underground.

Disliked: The reception closes at 8:00 pm, and you're supposed to call if you're going to arrive after this time so they can give you a code number to enter in the hostel and to get your room key in the mail box, and they say this on the email. But if the guest don't read the whole email, this person can be locked out of the hostel. If the guest hasn't arrived until 8pm, they could send this code by email, or have the emergency number on the email or by the door outside.

Liked: Skanstulls Vandrarhem is in a great location - smack in the middle of Sodermalm, and just a quick walk away from the cafes and galleries of SoFo. Only 3 stops to Gamla Stan, too. Nice decor inside, and a pleasant aesthetic, I quite liked the look of this hostel. Everything was quite neat and clean, and the other guests were really friendly and respectful. Very comfortable beds, too. Each bed has it's own bedside lamp, and also an allocated locker in the room, for which they provide you with a lock & key (attached to your room key). It won't likely fit a full sized suitcase in, but if you can fit it in Ryanair's cabin baggage measure, you can probably fit it in this locker! Nice touch with the book swap and general information around the place about Stockholm and the immediate surrounding area.

Disliked: It would be nice if each bed had its own power socket - double sockets are great but if one or both people have travel adaptors, two plugs don't fit. Also, it would be nice to be able to have my phone on charge and close to me rather than far from my bed for anyone to have access to. I imagine the room off the kitchen could get noisy depending on the guests staying at the time, and the noise from the street was audible from my room, although it didn't bother me at all. I think if you had earplugs you'd be fine anyway - I had some but didn't need to use them. The one thing that really bothered me was the night entrance - although there is a sign which advises guests to ensure the door closes firmly, both nights when I came in through the night entrance it was ajar so anyone could walk in. My roommates also seldom remembered to lock the door (you have to lock using a key when you leave the room), so I did feel slightly unnerved at that thought - although I did still feel quite safe, this is something which really should be remedied sooner than later.

Liked: Nice rooms, friendly staff. Showers were clean.

Disliked: do bring earplugs. Our room was just in front of the computers and so it was a bit noisy sometimes, though after 10 it was always quiet.

Liked: It was clean, many toilets and showers and quite cerntral.

Disliked: It was very dark because it's in a basement... So we hd a room without a window, which we missed.

Liked: Actually it was a great accommodation. It is close to metro station and very clean. It was better than i expected.

Disliked: There is nothing that i don't like in this hostel.

Liked: Very quiet atmosphere and comfortable beds. The general facilities themselves are also very well-kept and modern. It definitely does feel like more of a hotel as far as aesthetics go.

Disliked: The mattress covers and pillows were slightly dirty, but that's typical of any hostel.

Liked: I really appreciated the free pasta, granola, tea, and coffee that the hostel provided for their customers. The kitchen and dining area was well laid out and had a great atmosphere. Everything was quite clean, too!

Disliked: There aren't staff members at reception at night.

Disliked: We were put into a room right opposite the kitchen wall. Staff came in and banged and crashed dishes around very early in the morning, waking us up.

Liked: Nice location, friendly neigbourhood (SoFO) Fine kitchen too cook your own dinner (or just breakfast) with free coffee, tea and pasta, clean shower facilities, friendly staff, nice decor

Liked: Great location at the trendy end of town, really clean and well set out. Very comfy beds

Disliked: Showers were communal and just had curtains dividing them - the first hostel i've stayed at that's had them

Liked: The bathrooms were clean, the showers were good. I like the free internet access and I thought the dorms with individual free lockers were well thought out. Plus it was cool being in Södermalm, and the staff were helpful pointing me in the right direction.

Disliked: There were some incredibly rude people staying in the hostel and some of the worst dorm etiquette I've seen. People coming in late and switching the lights fully on while people are asleep, a guy chatting loudly on his mobile phone in his bed at 1am... I know the hostel can't do anything about this but these people totally ruined my stay.
