Liked: It was extremely stylish and clean, with free internet. Also not too far from one of Stockholm's coolest areas.

Disliked: The rooms didn't have windows, which made them pitch black and stuffy.

Liked: Rooms are excellent with partitions so there is some privacy for each bunk bed. Comfortable mattress, spacious locker, FREE COFFEEEEEEE!

Disliked: The organisation of the kitchen fridges is insufficient. They are too small and constantly stuffed with old food. Hostel staff need more oversight in this area. ALso, the sign "guests please wash your own dishes" should also state "and put them away", because the drying racks became overloaded quickly and by the end of the evening the sink was piled with dirty plates. I spent 30 minutes each morning washing other people's dishes before I could make breakfast.

Disliked: Very small kitchen. Too noisy, because windows were directed to the street.

Liked: The atmosphere was good and the fact that there is quite a bit of free food (some supplied by hostel, the rest by backpackers that have left) it seems more people cook their own meals which makes it good for socializing.

Disliked: The shores were pretty dirty each time that I used them.

Liked: It is one of my faverite hostel in Europe Very nice, clean, close to supermarket, which is handy, cause eating out in Sweden, it was quite expensive. so it help me a løt to have money cover the rest of the trip. All staffs were very kind and helpful

Disliked: Location, I would not like to say negative about this, but when I got to the town, it was dear for the public transport. but It is still good location

Liked: I liked the location and the cleanliness of the facilities.

Disliked: I dislked the fact that the rooms were too small to fit in eight people, and that the dressing room was too small.

Liked: I and my fiancee, we enjoyed our stay very much! The staff is amazingly friendly, fluently English speaking and always has some good advice about what to see or do in Stockholm (Sightseeing, shopping, night life etc...). The Hostel was very clean with enough restrooms and seperated showers for men and women. Our room (A private room for two, without windows) was very nicely furnished. Especially in the morning, it's always quite busy in the kitchen where you can cook some coffe and tea and have your breakfast but it's also a good place to meet new people. The location of the Hostel is also very good, it's just a stone throw away from the subway station (Skanstull). A nice Park and the shore of Södermalm is also quite near, where you can enjoy a walk at the water. On a side note, there's also a great street food place a few steps away, which has very good frites and other delicious stuff (Try the Köttbullar - swedish meat balls with mashed potatoes and cranberries). We would recommend the Hostel any time. If you're going to Stockholm you can't make a mistake by staying at Skanstulls Vandrarhem!

Liked: we were only there for a single night because we had an overnight layover there on our way home from italy, but it seemed really nice. we got there after the reception closed and had to leave before it opened, but they were still very helpful and accommodating via email! it looked like a really nice, clean place with plenty of bathrooms and a decent kitchen, although we didn't have time to explore too much. if i ever find myself in stockholm (hopefully for more than a night!), i would definitely consider actually staying there.

Disliked: the charge for linens seemed a bit high.

Liked: Very close to metro station (5 min walk), clean beds, clean bathrooms, clean kitchen.

Liked: Its location is good, and if you have heavy bags it will not be a problem as the walk from the station is short and no hills on the way. Its great that they have computers and free Internet access. I also liked the kitchen area and the showers had curtains (which all hostels in Stockholm do not have). I stayed in a 6 bed room and was very lucky with my roommates, as they were quiet and considerate.

Disliked: There seemed to be a slight attitude problem with the staff, both in their attitude towards the customer and also in what they do, as they put all of my luggage in my room (an open room with 6 other people) after they closed the reception, although I specifically asked them to keep it there over night. I had my computer in my luggage and other valuable things which could have been of interest to thief's, but luckily nothing had been taken when I arrived later that evening.

Liked: Very clean and comfortable, great location right by a T-Bana stop and only a 10 minute walk to the bars and cafes in the sofo area. We had lockers in our room and comfortable beds. Plenty of showers and toliets (which were all clean) and the free internet was good. The staff we spoke to were all friendly, and we didn't have any problems with their late check in system. I'd definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends.

Disliked: I would have liked to have a little private space to get dried and dressed when you come out the shower, but that wasn't a big deal. I was staying with friends but I think if I was there alone I would have liked a sofa/lounge area to sit and meet people as the kitchen/dining area seemed to be the only communal space to meet people (apart from in the dorms).

Liked: It has nice, modern character and design, very clean, nice kitchen and lovely tea; very close to nice bars

Disliked: I had to pay for the sheets and there was no breakfast.

Liked: Free pasta, good place to meet new people and interesting location. It is not located in the centre of everything, however, if you don't mind walking 20 minutes then it is good. It is a clean facility.

Disliked: Needs more of a lounge area and television sets for those nights where you want to chill.

Liked: Hostel was really place to stay...very safe and very clean. Enough toilets, perfect showers...maybe kitchen is bit smaller, but not big problem. Common area very good, enough place to sit, wifi everywhere. I would recommend Room for 8 people, perfectly done, you have even privacy, for example much more then in 4bed room, where I stayed too. Staff very kind and helpfull. My third hostel in Stockholm, if I come again, I take Vandrarhem as a first option for sure.

Disliked: Can´t really say a word against...unpreventable experience, that some people coming late from bars, like to eat and leave mess in kitchen...but no fault of hostel...

Liked: Excellent place to stay! Stockholm is an expensive city and so this is a good value for your money. The quality of the bed and facilities is much greater than most hostels. Farily good location, just make sure if you are going to be in Stockholm for awhile it may be a good idea to get a subway pass since it is about a 15-20 min walk from the main island (Galma Stan).

Disliked: Wish there was an area other than the kitchen or dorms for people to hang out and meet one another.
