Liked: Clean rooms and bathrooms, friendly and helpful service.

Disliked: Noisy! Because it was hot and no air-con, we had to leave the windows open and you can hear all the noise echo into your room from the busy street below. Breakfast wasn't great..

Liked: Nice and clean. If you just need a place to sleep or rest, this hostel can be the right place, even if it's not that near to the city center.

Disliked: Too many useless rules. No alcohol (nor tobacco) allowed inside the hostel. Microwave only for coffee or milk, kitchen with only really basic stuff (nothing for cooking or even eating your food) and not open at lunch time. Being so restrictive on what you could do within the hostel, it was very difficult to meet people there

Liked: I found the staff to be helpful. Also, I liked that they didn't have bunk beds in the room I stayed at. There were three single beds.

Disliked: It had too many signs that said 'Do not......' Made me feel uncomfortable. Also, it was very hot and I thought fans could be provided.

Liked: Russafa is a friendly, typical Spanish hostel that defies the conventional bunks'n'dorms backpackers that can feel a bit soulless. Rooms are spacious and fully furnished, and the owner knows everyone by name and is genuinely helpful, giving out maps and directions. It's also by a bus stop that goes to pretty much all the major tourist spots. I like the coffee machine too.

Disliked: Sadly, it was absolutely baking hot in Valencia and the rooms had no AC or fans which really affected my sleep and my enjoyment. The location is sweet but still 15-20mins walk to the centre. Was surprised that after check out I was ushered out of the hostel and not allowed to wait around until my train! They also could have done more to promote trips and excursions.

Liked: Stuff is very helpful and nice and this is probably the only godd thing about this expencive hostel. Apart from that, beds were comfortable and clean.

Disliked: The door locs are very old and broken in rooms and bathrooms - i got locked in bathroom at 2 am and if my sister wasnt there, probably i would have to spend a night in bathroom as the reception is on ground floor and bathroom is on 3 floor. No elevator. It is a very expencive hostel and is really difficult to find. The street is not mentioned on any city map. We got a hotel room in Barcelona for much less price!

Liked: the hostel was colourful and therefore very friendly! the toilets and the kitchen were always clean! the rooms were very spacy and bright! the neighborhood was quiet and next to the city centre!! without a doubt it's the perfect place to stay!

Disliked: everything was fine. nothing bothered me

Liked: Cleanliness, helpfulness of the owner, rooms spacious and very clean, free wifi in rooms.

Disliked: No kitchen, breakfast was just cornflakes, hostel was a little hard to find, quite noisy at night.

Liked: It was an alright place to stay for a night when you need to rest. quiet and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Disliked: Downside: Very poor facilities, for example "microwave is only for heating of coffee and teawater-NO food", only 1 toilet/shower for the whole floor. common areas are only "open" for certain times. Breakfast is lukewarm coffee, cereal and plain biscuits.

Liked: The hostel is spotlessly clean, and the owner is extremely friendly and helpful. He called me by name each time he saw me, and I assume he did so with everyone - a nice personal touch. It's in a fairly quiet area of the city, so it's good if you don't want to be disturbed by party noise at night.

Disliked: Breakfast is spartan, no cooking facilities, noisy market sets up very early in the morning just outside the hostel - you will need ear plugs! No real common area to sit and chat and meet people.

Liked: Very clean, and the proprietor was kind. Easy to reach from the bus station, and you can walk to the old city and the City of Arts and Sciences from here, ~20 to 30 minutes, or take the bus. Can also take the bus to the beach.

Disliked: Had to hand in our keys every time we went out, but that wasn't a big issue; the proprietor was there every time we wanted to come back in, so we could get the keys back. Our room was open to the plaza of the church across the street, and at night it got loud, but usually stopped around 11 to 12, so we got sleep.

Liked: I liked everything about my stay in Russafa. Although I arrived late for check in hours the gentleman that runs the hostal was very understanding. He has a very kind mannor about him and was helpfull with taxi's metro times etc. The place was very easy to find and very clean. I will be staying there again!

Disliked: nothing
