Customer reviewIt was a cheap stay for two in a room with a sink and shared bathroom. Location was great. Not a place to meet people but a good place to get some down time/alone time from bigger hostels. Nothing special about this hostel but recommended for a couple good night's sleep. |

david matthewsA charming little hostel centrally located. The staff were very helpful and the room was very clean and spacious. There is no lift so be aware you may have to carry your luggage up several flights of stairs. |

Kelly WilliamsThe hostel was very clean and safe, and the staff spoke good English and were very willing to help. We had a nice sized room with a/c and a bathroom right across the hall. However, our room was on the fourth floor, and there was no elevator, so we had to carry our bags up eight flights of steep narrow stairs. Also, there is no internet access at all. |

Polly MacphersonThis hostal is very central, ideal for those looking for the more local, historical, authentic and easy place to stay in Valencia. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful with ideas of what to do and see. My double room was clean and spacious however not exactly like the photos.... I spent 48 hours in Valencia taking in the tour bus, not normally my thing (might need to change this approach as it was great) but really fantastic at £14 for 24 hours and allowed me to see masses. Being able to come back to a relaxing space was perfect. Many thanks |

Customer reviewThere are no communal areas whatsoever - it is not a good place for single travellers hoping to meet other people. The bathrooms are very small and not properly ventilated. They are also in need of repair. |

Maarten De CockBeautiful building with nicely designed and comfortable rooms. Real Spanish charm! Neat and nice bathrooms on every floor, and we even had a shower in our room. Our bed was neatly made for us every day. The location is ideal, in a quiet and cosy street in the heart of the historic city centre, walking distance from all the historic places to see, and literally just seconds away from many nice restaurants, bars and terraces. The Turia park is also reachable on foot. The staff make you feel very welcome, and speak English fluently. They were always ready to help us find our way with public transport and things to see and do. Also very good value for money. We would highly recommend Hostal El Cid to anyone visiting Valencia! |
