Liked: The night porter ~ he was such a nice guy and would greet me by name and seemed to be the only genuine helpful staff on. Great roof top, kitchen and close to the sites in the plazas. Would be great to have air con in the computer room ~

Liked: This hostel is a great place to stay, good atmosphere, decent size rooms & fab decor, but its let down by some minor & silly things. Firstly when the a guide book to a city says it has 300 days of blue skys a year, you'd expect it to be hot once in a while; but the hostel still didn't have air-con! The hostel needs air conditioning!! It was far too hot everywhere.The kitchen is a great size, it's clean and with modern appliences but there needs to be more cutlery available. Also why does it shut at 11? If it was open all the time it would give people a great place to relax together if they don't want to go out. The same could be said for the roof area.

Liked: It was a great hostel besides the road works all around.. Jackhammers at 7am everyday, no airconditioner either.. very hot and noisy!!

Liked: The very mixed backpackers who stayed in the hostel were really amazing. The interior is very good designed.

Liked: Absolutely loved Home Backpackers!! So clean!! Big kitchen and roof terrace! Rooms clean, although air con would be nice!! Staff really friendly and incredibly helpful. Would DEFINATELY stay here again!

Liked: This place was what hostels are all about. It was super easy to find from the bus station and it´s a max. 10 minute walk to everywhere in the city centre, including the central market, etc. A lot of work has gone into decorating the place and it really did feel comfy to chill at. Wish there was an oven, but otherwise the kitchen was decently stocked and with the common room attached, it was constantly busy. Very easy to meet people at the hostel.

Liked: There was a really warm atmosphere. The stuff was very helpful indeed. The kitchen was a very good place to chat with other people. I felt the spirit of youth in this hostel honestly! :)

Liked: When i compare with the price and quality it was really good. The best thing i stayed in a 6bed bedroom but early in the morning there was still lots of air:)

Liked: The hostel was definitely a good value for money. They had created a fun and nice ambience in the common room, kitchen and the dorms. The staffs was particularly very friendly, giving us a thorough explanation on the city, and even helped printing our online flight ticket.The toilet was mixed for both female and male, some guest might want to consider that. Recommended as a fun and good value for money.

Liked: Home Backpackers has a great staff who were very accommodating--they were under construction but did not transfer or reservation to the other hostel, so we were able to stay in the hostel alone! it was great because my sisters and I got a room to ourselves. Overall, the staff was very helpful and recommended some great things to do and great places to eat.

Liked: It was a nice hostel with a big kitchen and beautiful terrace. It was loud at night, and you can hear most things. We also had a girl's only room and randomly got stuck with like a 40 yr old man staying there one night because of a reservation mix up and there were no other free beds. That wasn't so great, but there was nothing they could do I suppose. The location is great - good atmosphere and bars down the street.

Liked: Good location, and nice kitchen area. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The roomswere spacious and clean. The bathroom was clean, but it was shared male and female. Some noise at night outside which was annoying.
