Disliked: Too close to the festival area, worried about safety when bunch of drunk kids were on the streets.

Liked: the location is nice. they are in the old city and well connected by bus.

Disliked: nothing in particular.

Liked: Location was fabulous and Wifi was a bonus.

Disliked: Did not like that there was a shared bathroom and they didn't even provide hand soap. It was a tiny bathroom and felt like the door didnt secure properly. You can get better value for money.

Liked: The location is perfect.

Disliked: The rooms are very small and have only few storing space for your stuff. There is no airconditioner, radio, tv or what ever. One of the 2 badrooms did not have a door lock, which can be very annoying. The rooms are very noisy. When it's warm you have to sleep with open windows, but because of its central location you'll have noise from people on the street till 1 am or even later.

Liked: The location

Disliked: It was extremely noisy location and guests wise. The available services were pretty limited, i.e. the number and size of the toilets in comparision with the number of guests/rooms, there were no TV or even a city map to be offered. I am not keen of paying as you get in. We were never called to confirm the availability of the room

Liked: Great location in the heart of the old town. Good value pension with a sweet and helpful owner who speaks a little English if your Spanish isn't too good.

Liked: Location

Disliked: I know we are in their country and should try to speak their language but when my friend tried we ended up having a bit of miscommunication with the owner in making us pay to keep our luggage their once we had checked out. A sign or a little bit of english would have been helpful. There are only 2 bathrooms for quite a few rooms so was constantly having to wait and when paying £35 a night some hand soap wouldn't go a miss. very loud at night take ear plugs.

Liked: The people who ran it were very accomodating and did their best to answer any and all questions we had. It was very nice and clean there.

Disliked: The only disadvantage about this location was that it was really quite loud at night, which isn´t a problem when you are out.

Liked: Great location - good for beach, sights, tapas bars, restaurants. This was a pension, so a budget hotel, not a hostel, but the owner was friendly and the room comfortable and clean.

Disliked: No parking available on street near the pension, so we used paid parking garage 5 mins walk away for 22 euros per night.

Liked: amazing location, plain and simple accommodation. would be harder to find better value for money in san sebastian

Disliked: no towels provided, bathrooms were not very clean.

Liked: It was in an extremely convenient location and the owner was very accomodating and friendly.

Disliked: We knew before arriving that only one of the owners spoke English, but I assumed he would be around at least a bit -- he was not. The other owner was very nice, but we would have had much more trouble communicating had there not been two other guests who spoke Spanish.

Liked: Fomos San Sebastían na semana do Festival de cinema e show do U2 , portanto todos os hoteis estavam lotados , o que fez com que as tarifas ficassem bastante elevadas para um hostal com banhos compartidos

Liked: The staff were very helpful and friendly. When we go back to San Sebastian we will definately stay here again. It was seconds away from some of the best restaurants in San Sebastian and minutes from the beach.

Liked: Location

Disliked: We had a few friends come to our place for a few minutes to borrow some clothes as it turned to a hot day and it was a huge deal for the owner. Be told us 1 minute to get everyone out. It was pretty over the top as we felt we didn't have our own space there

Liked: I chose this pension as I wanted to be right in the Parte Vieja for bars etc, but still escape to a quiet place to sleep (showing my age!) at the end of the night. Pension Aries was just right for me, I didn't have a problem with street noise/other guests when sleeping (early Sept mid week) and the owners were very friendly.

Disliked: Only one of owners speaks English, but both are friendly and willing to help you enjoy your stay..

Liked: The staff were very friendly, even though there was a bit of a language barrier. The location was perfect, although was quite noisy, but that didnt bother us too much

Liked: The hotel is right in the old town and very close to all tapas bars and beaches.

Disliked: It was festival weekend when we were there a the streets were quite noisy, but the noise did not travel into the rooms too much. The room was very basic, not table, however, there was wifi connection.
