This hostel is really intimate, you feel like you are staying at someone's house. Having said that there is only one bathroom for 16 - 20 people, which can be frustrating, although the hostel was not full when I stayed. The hostel is in a great location, really close to the beach and loads of bars.

every thing was good, expect the price. we paid the same as for a two bed room in a hotel. of that reason I found it too expensive!

Leo was an awesome host. The apartment we stayed in was in an excellent location. We could look out from the balcony and see the surfer's beach. We met so many great people, would easily recommend it for solo travellers wanting to meet people as it is almost like a share house and everyone is alot more comfortable in the surroundings. Not recommened for people wanting to relax and wanting peace and quiet , everything is go go go. All the good bars and clubs are in a 10 minute walking radius of the apartments. Am already planning my next stay here!

worst hostel i have ever been, the guy who runs the hostel was totally irresponsible and was never stayed at hostel.we paid 10 euros for the room key deposit and when we were checking out we could not find him to get our money back.nothing was funny or interesting in the hostel except our lovely australian roommates.all in all, stay away from this hostel and find somewhere else cheaper. You may try to find german guy Heinrich"s hostel for only 5 euros per night.

I really found a friendly place to stay in San Sebastian, but I was expecting something cleaner actually. Besides this aspect, everything was good, they were friendly, always trying to help and giving suggestions for dinner or surf lessons. It is really located in the heart of old town, so you come downstairs and you're in crowded streets of people having dinner, talking, having a glass of wine!

in the middle of old town and between the two beaches, this hostel is ideal for young guys, they will bring you out for parties and it's going to be a lot of fun.

Awesome place, the owner (leo) and his Aussie helper (Luke) are heaps of fun! More like a big share house than a hostel and definately in the best location

This place is amazing. I planned on staying in San Sebastian for 2 days and I ended up staying there for about 2-3 weeks. Leo (the guy who runs this hostel) is amazing and nice (about 25 years old) and just ask him to take you for tapas and he will show you allll the best tapas bars in the town. And he will even go party with you at the disco's and take you to all the good ones. The place has free wireless which was amazing, and he has a laptop in the main room that he lets everyone use. The only thing to know about this hostel is that there is no sign for it so what you do from the train station is: Walk out of the train station, go strait ahead about 20m to the river, turn right, walk down towards the sea until the last bridge (i think its two bridges away, maybe 2-3 min walk) then turn left and cross the bridge. Get on the right side of the road and walk until you see an ice cream store on the right and that street is Narrica. Turn right there and walk down and look at the numbers on the left side of the street. Go until you find 23 and on the door buzzer there is a sign that says 'Surf Backpackers.' - Enjoy. Tips - Walk up to 'Jesus' for the sunset (ask Leo he will tell you) Do the pub crawl that is every Tuesday night - Its AMAZING Go to the 'Surf beach' .. not the other ones... the surf beach is the best (and has the most topples chicks btw) Def go for tapas with Leo, you will have a great time Get surf lessons from Leo, he gives lessons and is a great surfer Go party with Leo's brother, he is amazing as well Buy ear plugs because this town is a party town and it doesnt stop until like 4am Try the local white wine that is Basque ... i forget the name, its amazing Remember that Tapas in this area are called Pinchos .. its the Basque word Enjoy
