Liked: Location

Disliked: No one was ever at reception, things were getting stolen, there was only one bathroom/toilet, bathroom and kitchen was really dirty, sheets were dirty..

Liked: Location, cool staff.

Disliked: No lockers. It's a simple need. Also it can take a few minutes to get into reception to get in, if no staff are in reception.

Liked: The location, the people in the hostel were great, the kitchen had almost everything you could need and was clean most of the time.

Disliked: Only one bathroom for everyone, no communal area, the price-better value places in the area, my sheets were not clean

Liked: Basically, this hostel are a few guys who rent arpartements in San Sebastian and rent them out as hostels. This means there are different locations, but as far as I've seen they are all in the historic center of the city, which is also the place you want to be because the rest of the city is dead at night (only shops and buildings where "normal" ;) people work). The flat we stayed in had 2 bathrooms (cleanliness: average), a kitchen, three 6 bed rooms and one 2 bed room. Overall, I would recommend the place, altough it is a bit pricy considering you are living in someones arpartement.

Liked: very friendly almost i felt i was sleeping at freind's house and it was clean and i met very cool people during the stay

Disliked: nothing nothing to hate a single tiny oh maybe on the main building there were too many aussies.

Liked: It's well located in the old town.

Disliked: The room was a bit small and there was an extra bed added so it meant we were 5 people in the room. Only one shower. No real organized pub crawls and activities like you could find in other hostels and I found it quite expensive also in comparison to other hostels.

Liked: It was pretty small so everyone was super friendly. The guy which did the maintenance was really nice and trying to get to know the poeple. It was pretty clean and the locarion was really good since we were in the old town and the beach is just a few minutes walk away.

Disliked: You have to know where you are going to find the hostel since the sign is tiny. The guy that checked us in seemed less than interested and as though he just woke up with a bad hangover. They also offered surf lessons but when we asked about them the guy at the checkin gave us no information what so ever and told us he would get ask the guy which gave them if it was possible and come back to us, but he never mentionned anything again.

Liked: Location

Disliked: There were multiple locations throughout the town where the hotel "operated" However only the central location (which none of us stayed in) had WIFI. 2 of the people in our group got moved last minute because "the private double room just always double books itself online" and when we asked about it and showed our displeasure being split up across town the night of our arrival as we walked towards our different locations, they informed us if being separated was really that big of a deal, they could just give us our money back on the spot and let us be on our way. Also they only accepted credit cards which we were not prepared for and there were no near ATMs at our 11:45 pm arrival, forcing to leave the hostel again to go find one. When we booked the hostel on hostelbookers, we noted our expected arrival at 11:30. They began calling our cell phones at 11 pm checking on us. Upon our arrival (before being sent back out to get cash from the ATM) there was a sign saying the office/reception closed at 11pm, again none of which was advertised online. After making some assumptions, and talking to the supplemental help, I deduced and discovered a few things. They were just some surfers who apart from two units, sublet other rooms from other Hostals in the area to fund their surfing lifestyle in the area, using other surfers and girlfriends of the week to help cook/clean for the "owners" in exchange for free lodging....

Disliked: There were some safety concerns. It was not a huge problem but there was only one bathroom.

Liked: the location was great

Disliked: there is no common room, reception is literally as you walk in the door and is said to be manned all hours except midnight to 9am.. this is definately not the case (a traveller turned up at 1pm and i was the only person in the hostel) the staff are "interesting" and not trustworthy at all if your a single female traveller this is not the place.

Liked: Right in the middle of the old town, short walk to the surf or tourist areas. Great little fruit shop opposite.

Disliked: 1 bathroom between about 12 people. Quite loud at night but this can easily be sloved by heading out and getting smashed yourself.

Liked: The location is really great in the historic town,We couldn't find a bed for the last night and he gave us his siasta room to sleepThey were really cool and the beds were big and comfortable,I recommend this hostel,

Disliked: The staffs weren't always n the hostel,so we gotta wait for them until they arrived,But this would be happen only when you check in,then there would be no problem because they will give you the key to enter to the hostel.

Liked: I did end up staying in a room by myself since I was the only hostel guest. The property was well located in San Sebastian, clean and safe (I got locked out, so the locks were good).

Disliked: The stress of my check in and being unable to unlock the door when I returned was high and sort of killed my enjoyment of the other parts of the stay. I had to go back and forth between the hostel and a pay phone to call the owner, which was really unpleasant. It also felt awkward, like I was more a guest in someone's apartment. It seemed more of a "Couchsurfing" type experience than a hostel stay. I did genuinely like talking to the owner, residents and their friends, but I didn't really want to pay 20 euros a night to stay in someone's apartment.

Liked: Very helpful staff, who were highly accessible and gave excellent recommendations about restaurants, bars, etc. The rooms were cheerful and comfortable, overlooking the gorgeous Old City part of San Sebastian; a really great location.

Disliked: Slightly tempermental keys; not a problem though.

Liked: The only good thing about this hostel was the location.

Disliked: It was just poorly organized, I understand its the low season but you have no idea if anyone will be there or not when you show up or want to check out. It is just a strange place.
