Liked: Very laid back place. More of an apartment where everyone hangs out and chill. They arranged surfing lessons and surf hire for us.

Disliked: A bit untidy.

Liked: the hostel itself was nice and clean, the location was good for nigthts out

Disliked: although the location was good for nights out, if you want to sleep, at any time of the day, not a great place. at night the streets outside are full of drunk noisy people, during the day is filled with people as well. found it quite irritating, as i was a bit unwell and needed sleep.

Liked: Lovely atmosphere, great place to meet other backpackers, the owner is nice and friendly

Disliked: only two toilets, no locks on the individual rooms, they said check out was at 11 but at 10,30 the cleaninglady entered the room and wanted us to hurry up.

Liked: Had a really fun time. i was put in one of their other buildings which was basically an apartment with bunk beds, good size kitchen and was a chance to meet people in a relaxed atmosphere. kept really clean, could go out and parfy or stay in and watch tv, perfect for spending a bit of time at the beach.

Disliked: one thing; would have liked lockers, just for the feeling of security.

Liked: cool atmosphere to meet ppl and great staff, clean rooms and bathrooms. close to both beaches and to the pubs.

Disliked: wifi was only available in the buliding with the 4 bed rooms.

Liked: Staff are friendly, drinking is encouraged, sight seeing is not.

Disliked: Staff were friendly but very unprofessional when it came to payment - We spent an hour with hostel staff and a calculator. We were given dorm room beds rather than the private rooms we had booked, which was fine, but we were charged more than the price of the dorm beds. Do not use the laundry service - your washing will come back still wet 3 days later.

Liked: The atmosphere is some of the best we have experienced after travelling for two months, Nathan and Leo are great people to show you a good time. Really really enjoyed everything about our stay, meant so many wonderful people & definately would love to come back.

Disliked: The fact that EVERY night is saturday night here. Our poor bodies! Was great fun though.

Liked: I loved the atmosphere it was really cosy & there were all options for things to do.

Disliked: I don' t like sleeping on the top bunk, but thats what you get when it is so cheap.

Liked: It was in a great location, right in the heart of the old town and literally 2mins away from the beach. Both the train and bus stations were within 20-30mins walking distance.

Disliked: It was very noisy at night time...it sounds as if there is a disco right across the street blaring music all night. The kitchen was very small too, but it had everything you needed.

Liked: Located right in the old town and seconds away from bars, clubs etc. Not far from the beach. Best part were the staff, great help and always friendly! They took us out with the other travellers and made sure we had a great time.Always felt really welcome and safe. They charge for towels, which on hostelbookers said it was free and it is 6EUR to wash your clothes and there is no dryer. Lounge area was tiny as was the kitchen. Only one bathroom, but we never waited. All in all a great stay where we met some great people!!

Liked: Everything was great. Staying at this hostel made my stay in San Sebastian exceptional. I can't speak highly enough of the people that run the hostel and the efforts they make in ensuring guests have a great stay. In a sensational location, you are guaranteed to find it easy to party, relax on the beach, sight see, eat the best tapas in town, or whatever else you choose to do. There is also a record that will never be beaten...49 seconds to make it to and from the shop across the road which sells 1 Litre San Miguel beers for a Euro. See how you go! Thanks to Leo, Ernie, Mary Kate and Nathan for the hospitality. Keep up the great work!

Liked: We loved surf backpackers! Ernie and Leo were great! They even cooked us dinner one night. I would recommend this place to everyone! It is small, but it is in a great location close to tons of bars and both beaches. It's an awesome hostel and we weren't ready to leave. Much love from Canada!

Liked: One of my most interesting stays in a hostel so far. The central place looks great, cozy, laid backm the location is superb and Ernie, the host, was a great help, very friendly and definitely knows the city - great for suggestions.But... when we got there he actually didn't have a place for us, so he put us into this flat that's currently being transformed into an extension of the hostel. The place was greatm like our own appartment in the city. Our 'flatmates' were fun...except that our window gave into a neighbouring room and we had to listen to one guy fool around with a girl for over an hour in the middle of the night - uncomfortable and disturbing to say the least, inconsiderate too!So, a good spot, I would recommend it if you're laid back and don't care about hearing every little whisper coming from next door...

Liked: I had a really lovely time here. The guys that work here are really cool and will take you out for a fun night on the town. The bathroom, rooms and kitchen were all clean. The location is great and close to loads of cool spots to eat and drink. It is a small hostel but I found this a good thing as I met everyone staying there and had a fun time going out with them.
