Liked: Great location, free coffee/tea/hot chocolate and bread and jam for breakfast.

Disliked: A common area other than the small kitchen would be nice. Kind of stuck in the room if you want to take a break.

Liked: Clean, great location, a lot of space in the room, great view from the balcony, free jam and bread in the kitchen.

Disliked: It was cold from the start, as there is no central heating there. But we asked for a heater and the problem was solved. I prefer bigger, more modern hostels with bigger common areas. Any way, this one was not bad. Oh, just remembered, the internet was terrible. I couldn't even open a Google page.

Liked: One of the best hostels we've ever stayed in!! The rooms are cosy but there is plenty of room for bags. The best part of this hostel is Albert. Makes you feel like you are home away from home. Does a ridiculous amount of extras for next to nothing. On both nights he cooked us dinner (showed us how he cooks paella) all for 3 euro. Plus he also makes bowls and bowls of sangria or calimachos. He then took us out to his favourite bars. After the night out he comes home and heats up extra food for late night munchies. Then in the morning he cooks a feast of bacon, omlette, sausages and french toast only for 2 euro. Crazy. It is so easy to meet people in this hostel as you all sit down for meals together and then go out as a group. Even if you don't want dinner he will point out places to go for the best pinxtos in town. IF YOU STAY IN SAN SEBASTIAN STAY AT ROGER'S!!!!!

Disliked: that there aren't more hostels like this in Europe

Liked: Great place. Good location, between two beaches. Amazing staff and food. Albert cooks wonderful meals for everyone for only 3 euros. Also massive breakfasts. Great atmosphere, feels like you are part of a family.

Disliked: Had no bad experiences.

Liked: Alberts awesome cooking, the view from the room overlooking the bull fighting ring, the location and the staff

Disliked: Not much really-There are two showers that don't have locks on them, but if you hang a towel over the door, people know it's occupied.

Liked: Albert and Zac were the coolest. Paul helped us surf. The home cooked meals and sangria at night were super cheap and super delicious. Great staff, great atmosphere. Highly recommend this hostel.

Disliked: Wasn't an issue for us, but there isn't much privacy in the bathrooms for those who would like that. It is a bit noisy, walls on the thinner side, and our room looked out onto the Plaza Constitutional (the noisiest place in the city it would seem).

Liked: The location of this place is great! And they offer fresh healthy dinners for only 3 euro! The owner is really friendly :)

Disliked: There were tradesmen in the kitchen in the morning, so there was no room to have breakfast, not the best time to get maintenance done when the hostel is waking up. There is only one fully enclosed bathroom. The other bathroom facilities comprise of 2 shower cubicles and one toilet, so you have very limited privacy.

Liked: Everything, there was not one thing that we didn´t like. Albert was an incredibly caring and kind hearted host. Cooked the best meals we´ve had all trip and made amazing sangria, so cheap and filling. Great staff all round, Charlie was incredibly helpful and an all round nice guy catering to anything we wanted. The guests staying there also add to the experience as the hostel bonds as a big family. Best hostel of the trip by far. we will definately be coming back soon.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: cheap meals cooked by one of the staff that were absolutely awesome, great bunch of people that stay there, playing street basketball with the crew from the hostel, going to the many bars and clubs in San Sebastian.

Disliked: The only thing this hostel could do with is a bigger common area but don't let that stop you from going there, its awesome!!!!!

Liked: Everything. Great location, walking distance to beach and bars/clubs. Albert cooked dinner for every one every night we were there for only €3! fantastic cook, too everyone out to the local bars. Great atmosphere.

Disliked: Slightly small room, but it's just a place to sleep. Can't say there was anything to really dislike

Liked: This was the best hostel I've ever stayed at! Albert - the manager - is the most helpful man I've ever met and cooks amazing dinners for 3 euros a night including sangria (he even made me a veggie option). Met loads of super lovely people and really felt like a big family of travelers than just a place to stay. Perfect location, 2 mins from the beach. Perfect people. Perfect perfect perfect.

Disliked: The kitchen is tiny, but that does mean you get to talk to literally absolutely everybody. If you're lucky, someone might even get a guitar out...

Liked: good location and incredibly friendly stuffs. Without their help we couldn't have had such a great trip in san sebastian.

Disliked: Room a little bit small. Noise at night. But it's good location in the center of old town totally compensate it.

Liked: Best way to end our 2 month trip in Europe. Albert - MASTERCHEF! Zac - Thanks for the boardies dude ill be wearing them when I see you next! Everything about this hostel was great will recommend it to everyone!

Liked: Albert and Zac are the best!! Great food from Albert, everyone is able to get to know each other because its quite cosy, right in the centre of the Old Town which is awesome

Liked: The staff were very welcoming, they made you feel like family. The cooked lovely meals for everyone and took us out each night. I really enjoyed my expericence in San Sebastian!

Disliked: The rooms were quite small, hardly any room to put suitcases etc..
