Liked: the location was good. Sharn, our Ozzie helper was friendly. It had a friendly apartment style vibe and was nicely decorated.

Disliked: the room was a bit damp for some reason. it idn´t ruin our stay but was a bit annoying.

Liked: single room was only €30; perfect location in "parte viaje" (old town of Donostia)

Disliked: dorm bed and single room had the same price; single room had no window; sometimes difficult to reach staff

Liked: Excellent hostel! It's clean, it's in a perfect central location, has a typical Spanish bar downstairs and an extremely friendly owner. I definitely recommend the Kaixo Hostel in San Sebastian to all travellers!

Liked: The kitchen facilities were probably the best I've had in a hostel...plenty of free food for use and due to the small, intimate nature of the hostel it was always easily accessible. Never waiting. Location was perfect, close to shops, sights and the beaches!

Disliked: There were only two bathrooms so you often had to wait for one to become vacant. You were never waiting long but still...

Liked: the location

Disliked: It was very difficult because there was no reception so it was hit or miss when trying to find staff. Also, there was only one working shower for everyone, which caused a line sometimes. You can't pick up the internet signal in the hostel, only in the cafe downstairs.

Liked: .Decent shower once trhe hot water worked. Tv in living room and bedroom. Well located if you don't mind the noise. Decewnt kitchen.

Disliked: I stayed in the private apartement.Didn't sleep a wink.Street noise until 3am. The next morning the dumper trucks empty the beer bottles into the van waking you up. No lock on the bedroom door.No smoke detectorsNo kettle. No nunber on the door so remember which floor your on or youll never get back in. No hot water on arrival. The switch which said hot water did not heat the water. The ownwer fixed rthe problem the next day. Had to phone on arrival .No one on recetion.Instructions forwarded to me via e mail following my departure from the u.k.

Liked: This hostel was extremely modern and clean and although it was a bit expensive I still found it to be a great value for your money. It is a short walking distance to everything in the city including both beaches.

Disliked: Just make sure to arrive before 11pm. Our bus was late and there is an additional 10 euro charge per hour of arrival after 11pm since there is no formal reception.

Liked: Hostel was really centrally located, was always kept clean, and had a nice new interior. Nice big kitchen area for meeting other guests. Only 5-10min walk to surf-beach. Sooo many amazing pintxos bars nearby!

Disliked: Would've been nice to have a bit more space to chillout in, but there is a Cafe ran downstairs by the owner of the hostel, two amazing beaches nearby, and dozens and dozens of bars nearby.

Liked: Well, the location is awesome, no doubt about that. The creaky floors are a real problem though. Also, the wifi doesn't extend over the entire property, which can become frustrating. And the kitchen closes at 11pm and opens at 8am (if the staff gets there on time, which doesn't always happen). The bathrooms are very clean though, which is nice.The main attraction of the place is the location... and that can't be stressed enough. It's situated in pretty much the perfect place.

Liked: Great location in the old town with a great kitchen to cook and a place to meet fellow travellers. Staff are there all day to take tours or help you with any problems. Great value for money..

Liked: It was lovely, I had a nice room with a balcony, but it was so noisy at night, I hardly slept at all, maybe because the streets are noisy but the sound really carried. The floorboards are really noisy which stopped me walking around at night trying to get my stuff done, and anyone going to the toilet would wake me and everyone up. The Californian guy was nice but likes to look you up and down which I don't like from my host. Kitchen also closes at 10... a bit annoying. I think there are better hostels and pensions around. Sorry.

Liked: Everyone was very friendly, the staff was new, so they were unable to give great recommendations, but overall were very helpful. Single bedroom that I had was great, and everyone that ended up staying there seemed to enjoy themselves. Didn´t use the kitchen much, but I think that the people that did seemed to get a fair amount of use from it.
