Liked: It's smaller so a bit more personal that most hostels. Gordon was a great host.

Liked: had good location, was clean and a good place to of course meet other backpackers!

Disliked: the host was a bit too friendly, tapas tour he ran was a rip-off and you have to pay to leave your bag their the next day! ridiculous, first time we´d come across it!

Liked: The location was excellent

Disliked: The place had a really bad atmosphere. It was small, very dark and I wasn't too sure if there were other guests or not. There was no reception as such, just a staff member who is usually in the hostel (him sleeping on the couch was a bit unprofessional). As there is no desk, it is hard to find anything out about San Sebastian (although I did get a map when I arrived). There was lots of hair on the ground in my room and my room had no windows so it got really stuffy. The place also had really negative signs such as 'if you flush things down the toilet we will F%#& you up'. I found this really offensive and it added to the bad atmosphere.

Liked: Great group of people, and Gordy was a great host - especially on his must-do Pintxo tour!

Disliked: a bit noisy at night, and nobody was at the hostel to ask if you wanted something...

Liked: Good location, its in the centre of everything you want or need to see in SS. Everyone there was very friendly, and had a very enjoyable stay. There were also good kitchen facilities, so we could save money by cooking our food. There is a Lydl 1minute away for cheap food and drink, but also several local marketr stools even closer if you want some fresh, local produce.

Disliked: Need to replace the holder for the shower heads. Its not really a problem, but it would be nice to have a 'hands-free shower'.

Liked: I stayed in a single room - no windows but the room itself was clean and cosy. I enjoyed it. Gordon, who runs the place is wonderfully friendly and has excellent tips about the city.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Gordon was the man! He told me all about the things I needed to see and even took me to some of them. Overall, Great experience...I'll be coming back again for sure.

Liked: Fantastic location, Gordon was lovely and so helpful! Great place to stay and great value for money. Good kitchen facilities

Disliked: There was a woman staying there (perhaps living there) but i felt like i was in her house and invading her space. Perhaps, due to the language barrier, but i felt a bit funny about it eg she wouldn't let us put our bags on the couch (only space available) after checked out of our room before we went to get our car, she insisted that we put it infront of a doorway blocking another room...just weird. Felt like i was being told off

Liked: location

Disliked: Stuff is so mean. She don't allow us to use even the toilet before check-in time (at noon). There are only 2 bathrooms which one has no lock. The kitchen is nice, but not useful at all (we can't use more than 2 electricity appliances at the same time)

Liked: Chris ran the place great! Great place to get sleep and most the beds arent bunked! really comfy beds and good clean sheets. Great location!

Disliked: maybe just a bit quiet so tougher to meet other travelers. no common room

Liked: It was more of an apartment than a room. Very clean, safe and central to all the fun and bars and restaurants. Everything within 5 minutes walk (ie. Bakeries, grocery store, tourist info) and even though it was in the center of all the action, once you closed the shutters and drapes it was fairly quiet. Not the best location to meet other travelers, more if you like privacy and time away from the parties (which is also within walking distance) excellent place to stay. Not a negative thing to say

Liked: It was really private and secure which was comforting. The location was great being in the middle of old San Sebastian near restaurants, bars and the beach! The rooms were comfortable and quite large with adequate space for all bags. The showers were so good! (easily the best I have used in any hostel so far).

Disliked: There was no communal area for meeting people outside your immediate room. It was a little noisy, however that was because we stayed over the weekend when the most people are out.

Liked: This hostel was very amazing for me. Even in my first day in San Sebastian, I did not feel myself insecure or lonely as the the people in Kaixo are really welcoming (especially all the time smiling girl from Australia)Everything was great.Thank you Kaixo!
