Liked: The owner lives on the ground floor which adds to security. He is very friendly and although there is no reception, you just shout his name in the hallway and he comes to attend you.

Disliked: The bathroom was not cleaned once during my 3 night´s stay.

Liked: Great value for money, right in the heart of town. secure and small, free internet

Disliked: very small, so not if you want to party - though the hostel upstairs tends to not mind you party there

Liked: Great location, right in the hub of San Sebastian. Walking distance to everything. Slightly loud at times (early AM), however windows blocked most of it out.We were able to use the washing machine free of charge. Although there was no breakfast included, there was a kitchen to stock your own breakfast so was very easy. Room and ensuite bathroom was clean and new looking in the 5 bed dorm room.

Disliked: We didn't find it an issue but sometimes there is no one at the guesthouse to let you in, so i would advise you to let them know your arrival time.

Liked: The location was good, very close to La Concha.

Disliked: My iPod charger got stolen and they didn't seem to bothered to help me get it back. They said they contacted one of the people in the room, but I didn't hear anything after. The girl working there was friendly but not there that often, the guy working there was quite unfriendly and not very helpful, it seems to me you would want to help out your guests, not just when something like this happens, but in general. All 'n all, quite a negative experience. Also, they say they have wifi but the password they gave didn't work and again, they didn't seem to bothered to put up a working one. It goes without saying I won't be staying at this hostel again.

Disliked: see above terrible directions, signage - we could not find the place for an hour wandering in the area because the doorbell is labelled as something else our room key didnt work, and others had the same problem - were locked out finally, there are cockroaches - i have a photo of the one i killed there

Liked: The kitchen was great! Spacious room. Free internet acces and washing machine was a perk too.

Disliked: The shower in the bathroom leaked a lot.

Liked: My friend and I stayed at this hostel while visiting San Sebastian for a long weekend. We were really impressed with the friendliness of the staff and the location. There was a large kitchen and free internet available for use as well. We were a 2 minute walk from the port and 5 minutes from the beach. It is not the place to stay if you want to meet people, but if you are going with friends and want a private room it is a great value!

Liked: friendly staff, clean....but not a party atmosphere....but we came when the dorms where not full. Note that the locations is great and the staff are extremely welcoming and helpful.

Liked: Locaion excellent. Staff are not very helpfu.They have very little english. They weren't around for most of the stay or even in the morning for checkout.

Liked: Uzturre has been, by far, the best hostel me and my mates have stayed at during our travels round Europe. Great people who run the place and help you with anything you want, great location, secure and most of all their fun to be around. At nights the hostel takes you to the top clubs and pubs in Sanse. If i come back to Sanse i will definantely come back to Uzturre back packers.

Liked: The hostel had a washing machine and kitchen but that was all it had going for it.During my stay they guy who I guess was mean to be the caretaker got me to answer a phone call for the hostel because he didn't speak any english and we would've anwered the door to the hostel all of the time as no one was there who worked there and the doorbell would continually ring until we answered the door, at which point the poor backpacker who has been trying to get into the hostel for the past hour or so (as the front door buzzer also does not work) then has to sit in the kitchen until the guy come back from wherever he was. Not so good, I don't think!!My suggestion - find another place to stay

Liked: place isn't bad. it's clean and in a great location but only a few rooms. not much going on. guys running the show didn't speak much english and tried to get me to pay twice and messed up bookings for two other people.
