Liked: Very nicely decorated, it was also clean (but it is important to say that we were one of the few staying there at that time). Great location, free breakfast.

Disliked: You have to pay upfront.

Liked: It has the funkiest BEST decor ever - it is like being in Mexico - bright colours, interesting things everywher. The bunkroom was so roomy it had a whole lounge suite in it - and french doors opening onto a balcony - just lovely! The staff are really helpful and kind - and Beti is a real character. Breakfast is included and has good coffee and cake :) It is a home more than a hostel.

Disliked: When the place got crowded I had to wait 20 mins for the toilet. Both toilets were in bathrooms and other guests were taking showers which meant the loos were unavailable.

Liked: The atmosphere was very familiar . There were great hostelusers and I met great people! Was a great location, just a few minutes away from the surferbeach!:) Wanted to stay for two nights an at the end I stayed there for 3 nights:)

Disliked: It wasn't clean and the staff couldn't speak english. You could get an electricity shock while cooking. The staff always brought new beds in our room.

Liked: Really well decorated. Had a very good vibe to the set up.

Disliked: We were moved rooms without being told or asked, had all of our stuffed moved for us. Into a room that had family photos and other peoples things still littering the beds etc. Was not all that clean. Had only two bathrooms. When we were moved it was to fit in an extra 7 beds. Way too many people at that time for only 2 toilets.

Disliked: Not the cleanest. And only two washrooms for over 20 odd people staying there at any one time.

Liked: The location is nice, its directly in the heart of the city.

Disliked: 2 nights minimum stay, because most people would leave after the first night. Only 2 old, small, dirty bathrooms for about 30 people in the hostel.

Liked: It was in a great location, the staff were really helpful, and there were lots of south americans staying which was good for me to practise my Spanish

Disliked: Breakfast wasn´t up to much, the kitchen was pretty small and there wasn´t any common room to chill out

Liked: great character, all facilites there although only one washing machine and is difficult to get chance to use it. fantastic location. do not stay here if you after a trendy modern hostel but if you want a comfortable cheap night with a kitchen it is great.

Disliked: trying to communicate with the owner was difficult as she doesnt speak english but other live in guests/staff will translate

Liked: Really nice staff and very helpfull. A very informal athmosphere and very easy to meat knew people. Also perfect location in the city center and two beaches.

Disliked: The staff speaks very limited to no English. The only language they speak is Spanish. And there where not enough shouwers.

Liked: It was very social with a lot of character.

Disliked: It wasn't all that clean (I mean not unlivable.... unless you are all that picky you should be just fine) and we had to share a bathroom with a lot of people. There was always a line.

Liked: I liked the inside look of property, a little bit arabic indian atmosfere. Cool decorations, crazy style of rooms ect. And definetly very good location.

Disliked: Many depends on what kind of people is staying there during the time u come, but generally its special kind of people i think.. Gus looking for cheap atractions i 'touristic San Sebastian'. Bathrooms and rooms were very dirty. We didn't get free towels (any way I would be afraid to take any towel from there). Breakfast didn't egxist also we had to buy staff on our own. The place for sleepin wasn't comfortable and I think wasn't also so clean..

Liked: excellent place for it's location, service and friendliness, you get clean towels and you can use the washing machine also, as well as the kitchen. Total freedom of entrance/exit and there are always people from all around the world, 100% recommandable!!

Disliked: as in any hostel sharing rooms depends on how you get along with others, that is the only thing I can say about that

Liked: I have never stayed at such a laid back, fun hostel. Maria was incredibly flexible with any changing of plans, and extremely helpful and giving. I met the most incredible people and the place was set up very well to meet people. I have never spent so much time with the people in my hostel IN my hostel. It was extremely cozy.

Disliked: If you are one who worries alot about keeping valuables in a secure spot, you might find yourself a bit worried (although I never asked for a secure spot to keep my things...they may have one). I left things around and had no problem what so ever.

Liked: very, very friendly staff -- Maria Aurora is great! -- and great -- perfect location!

Disliked: not the most reliable/dependable place... staff wasn't always in for check-in/check-out, which was a bit annoying when we wanted to leave and get our key deposit back but no one was in who had $$.

Liked: The location was good.

Disliked: This was the WORST place I have ever stayed and they even break health code violations. There was one bathroom/shower for approximately 20 people, I saw a cockroach, and there were even ants in my bed! I also had to pay up front, so I was stuck there. I didn't have a key for the time that I was there and had to share my room with strangers. There weren't any lockers for my things, and although nothing got stolen, this is a standard in any hostel where the rooms are shared.

Disliked: Of course, the matron. She is a bad-temper woman, she didn't take care of us, she only has a good employer who does all the work she has to.

Liked: lovely old building, nicely decorated with very cosy rooms (ours had a balcony). We had access to a kitchen, washing machine, two showers and a copmuter with internet. Staff were very friendly and hospitable, were not at all impatiant with my poor spanish, and spoke some english. The atmosphere created by the building and the staff was a cosy, homely one. It felt like staying with real people, rather than the typicaly clinical and alien hostel atmosphere.

Disliked: I didn't find anything not to like, but if you're looking for a party-atmosphere this pobably isn't the place.

Disliked: there was only a little window to the floor (no window to outside) in our private dorm, so it was very loud for us when people leave the hostal or come to it
