Liked: We were sent to the hostel Miramar from the central Urban House hostel - it is well located, has large rooms with big ensuite bathrooms.

Disliked: We were sent to the hostel Miramar from the central Urban House hostel - there is no common computer with internet (only wifi), the room was really noisy (but I expect that is because of the douchebags staying in the hostel and surrounding hotels at the time, who saw merit in yelling between 3am and 5am).

Liked: The location is excellent (unless you're there specifically to surf as the surf beach is about 1km away on the other side of the river). Security at the building is very good, the room was a reasonable size compared to a few of the others I stayed at in Spain and it had lockers. It was also pretty cheap.

Disliked: The beds were the worst I've ever had at a hostel. The bunk beds are very flimsy and and the whole assembly rocked every time the person on the top bunk moved so much as an inch. I could feel every spring in the mattress pointing into my back due to a complete absence of any padding. The girl at reception on the night I arrived could speak neither Spanish nor English (?!) although in their defense I was told she was a fill-in due to sickness. One of the two bathrooms was out of order for the duration of my two night stay. The shower head in the functioning bathroom wouldn't stay in its clamp so you had to use one hand to hold it for the duration of your shower. It also has no laundry facilities and the only one in town is very expensive (EU$14) and not particularly careful with your clothes. If it weren't for the beds I could overlook the other issues but for mine, a comfortable bed and decent shower are the main things you want in a hostel and this hostel failed one of those criteria and barely scraped a pass for the other.

Liked: I was a little skeptical when I made my booking but I had a great time and met some equally great people. Staff are friendly and everyone seems to be having a good time. They do try to look after their guests which is good. Great place for solo travelers. Breakfast was good for a hostel with some cereals, tea, coffee & toast etc. Great value for money in my opinion.

Disliked: Would have liked a little introduction to the town by way of someone showing me a map and pointing things out. I think they were just a little too busy this week to do this. I'm sure if they had the time they would have been more than willing to do so. Common area is nice and cosy so if you want to meet others get out there early so you can get somewhere to sit and mingle. otherwise there will be no where to sit and you will be slightly on the outer. Shower drainage is not the best but no big deal. As always take ear plugs. a snorer can be a real nightmare!

Liked: Perfect location on the edge of the Old Town so no trouble to find and tons of bars all within a couple of minutes stroll. (Albeit about an hour to walk back one night). Staff are genuinely friendly rather than just efficient and business like.

Disliked: A 24hr rooftop bar would`ve been nice, but beyond that nothing comes to mind

Disliked: I stayed in a different building from the main one, and there were only 2 bathrooms, I was also a little confused about breakfast, there was none laid out on the table in the kitchen as the lady had said...maybe it was too early?

Liked: This was my best hostel experience to date. Great location- near the beach, near the restaurants, near the churches... Excellent staff- super friendly and helpful and they really encourage a family like environment. Super easy way to meet people which was perfect because I was traveling alone. Just all around great experience.

Disliked: There's only 2 toilets and showers for everyone. Wasn't a problem when I stayed but I can imagine that at times it could be.

Liked: Perfect location, incredibly friendly and helpful staff, clean. couldn't have asked for better place to stay!

Disliked: only 2 bathrooms, and showers and toilets are not separate, so there can be a line

Liked: Everything about this place was great. After having a bad experience in Bilbao, we were pleasantly surprised to arrive here. Everyone was so helpful and accomodating. I can't recommend this place enough.

Disliked: The beds were a little uncomfortable and when we were there the button downstairs didnt work.

Liked: Staff were friendly and helpful.

Disliked: There were two toilets and they were in with the shower. Therefore anyone having a shower occupied the toilet - not fun in the morning! Also the beds were very uncomfortable felt like I was sleeping on the springs of the bed. I would no recommend this to friends.

Liked: Great location.Rooms have little balconies that overlook the pedestrian street with all the Spanish life coming and going.

Disliked: Staff seem to think it's there own home and treat it, and you, as such.

Liked: Very well located. Guests were very friendly en helpful.

Disliked: We came by car and had problems to locate the place. Because we had problems with our phones and the telephone number we found it very difficult to enter. The lack of parking space was also a problem.
