Liked: The rooms where spacious, bright and clean and the owner lovely and helpful

Disliked: The owner seems to be living there, so there is not an awful lot of privacy

Liked: John the owner was very friendly and spoke reasonable English.The room was big and within walking distance of everything.

Disliked: It was in an area where there were alot of bars and there was alot of night time noise.

Liked: Great location & very helpful insure staff.

Disliked: We stayed on Friday & Saturday nights and it was VERY loud. We had a cute balcony on third floor above a street with bars/restaurants below and people were partying till 4 am. If u are a light sleeper you may have problems. I used earplugs and still could hear the noise, and my husband who usually sleeps through anything also had trouble sleeping. If u plan to stay out Kate it won't be an issue, but if u have early morning plans it may cause some problems.

Liked: Good value pension in the thick of it in San Sebastian. Friendly staff, a lift which works and clean roooms make for a good stay. Also being small, you don't share your bathroom with too many people.

Disliked: nothing!

Liked: The owner was very welcoming and informative. Our room was large and the balcony over-looking the crowded streets was fantastic. Everyday there was an offer for house-keeping to change the beds and garbages. If I go back to San Sebastian I'm most likely staying at San Juan again!

Disliked: The comforters on the beds were stained but the blankets and sheets seemed very clean. Only two showers but it was never a problem.

Liked: The host Don Juan was absolutely lovely and very helpful. It was a bonus that he spoke fluent English. Very central location. (Ideal for mature travellers; not so for the younger revellers)

Disliked: pretty quiet, not good if you are a lone traveller...

Liked: It has a great location. It was clean and the staff was friendly. I felt very secure.

Disliked: The walls were thin and you could hear the noise from the main area. It wasn't that distracting, but it could bother some people. The curtains in the room are white so the room doesn't get too dark at night for sleeping.

Liked: The owner was lovely and couldn't do enough for you. He doesn't speak much English though but speaks very clear Spanish.

Disliked: The showers didn't get much above luke warm but they were impeccably clean.

Liked: It was a very cute little hotel, very cheap. The rooms were VERY spacious, cumfortable, free wifi, staff were very helpfull and friendly. Walking distance to a lot! The beaches, a great restuarant district. Private rooms.

Disliked: A bit of a walk to get there, and the floor/doors were noisy. The bathrooms were accross the hall, and shared. Not a great place to meet people as no common areas and private rooms.

Liked: The location, the very friendly owner, who gave us the most warm and welcoming treatment.

Disliked: Like in all hostels located in "la parte vieja" there is no acces with car, nor a free parking zone. However, travelers should know there is an area with free parking nest to the university.

Liked: Great location right in the heart of the old town, and short walk to the beach! Close to all the pubs, shops and supermarkets! The owner is very friendly and helpful and was willing to help and give us info and maps etc! Its more of a hotel than a hostel as there is no kitchen or common room but overall the rooms are nice and clean and it was great value for money! Would definitely recommend!!

Disliked: Would have loved a kitchen and it was a little bit noisy

Liked: A Great location right in the heart of the old town. Within mutes walking distance to the main strip and the beach is only 20 minute walk away.The man who runs the place was fantastic, he speaks a little english and was very very helpful.It is one of the cleanest hostels ive stayed in, we even got fresh towels daily and the bathrooms were cleaned daily.The nearby by bars and restaurants have a great range of the Tapas/Pinxtos on offer in San Sebastien.Will definately stay here again.

Liked: Clean, nice rooms with superb location- good value for the price.Helpful owner, especially if you speak spanish!

Disliked: Extremely noisy - from the street all night long and from the reception desk, phone ringing all the time. Thin walls...

Liked: wifi in the bedroom was very handy. nice cosy room with little balcony. excellent location.

Disliked: the only problem was that the walls are paper thin so if you have noisy people staying in the room next door who are up at 3am talking and laughing you wont get any sleep. pack some ear plugs!
