Liked: Excellent Hostel!The owner(Carlos?)is a cool guy and showed me all the places to see and things to do whilst in Salamanca.It is great when someone takes the time to speak to you and help you when you are new to the area.Thanks for a great stay

Liked: Tormes Hostal was a really great place to stay and I would recommend it to others. It was in a great location, 5 minutes from the Plaza Mayor, 5 minutes from the University and within walking distance from everything else. The rooms were all clean and it was a nice space to be in. The guy was very kind as he was VERY accommodating and was able to answer all questions and help to navigate around the city.

Disliked: My only minor thing would be that the walls are kind of thin so either you have to be very quiet or you can hear if people are being very noisy. Definitely worth the price and would come back again or advise friends to come here.

Liked: The staff were very friendly and really helpful. They provided us with a map and list of things to see and do in Salamanca. The hostel is right in the centre of the town.

Disliked: The colour scheme was a little unusual (our room was painted bright green, so it felt like being in a pond!), and the plumbing had character.

Liked: Staff was very kind and very helpful - went out of his way to make sure I understood the city and that I'd get the best out of it. Awesome shutters to block out morning light, too.

Disliked: The walls were a bit thin and I did hear a couple having their way with each other down the hallway (even with the door shut). To be expected everywhere (the walls, that is), though.

Liked: Perfect location. Facilities adequate. The hostel provided free laundry services too, which was nice.

Disliked: Walls were paper thing - any sound in the hallway and adjacent rooms were extremely loud!

Liked: nice old apartment in the city center. really nice owner and good atmosphere.

Disliked: few facilities like restrooms and showers. there are no lockers.

Liked: Staff are friendly & helpful. Excellent location. Recommendations made by the staff are very useful, which are close to the daily life of Salamanca people. Clean room and bathroom. Decent room.

Disliked: No microwave.

Liked: The staff was great!!! He was very kind and helpful when we arrived. Honestly recommend it to anyone who is headed to Salamanca.

Disliked: Perhaps the restroom situation that there wasn't one located in the big suite rooms, but other than that, everything else was great.

Liked: The best location possible for an accommodation, only a two minutes walk away from Plaza Mayor. The staff (the two dudes) were friendly and helpful. Pretty good value for money, only 20euros a night in a single room...

Disliked: ...the main drag is just to expect to need earplugs as in Spain soundproof in buildings is what it is. With all the nightlife on offer your sleep might be limited! :)

Liked: I've been on the road for 6 weeks and felt more at home here than any other hostel so far. Carlos was wonderful, full of ideas and very attentive. He felt more like a friend than an employee! The location was perfect, directly in the center of town and only 2 minutes walk from the main sights. The bathrooms were clean and I even had a sink in my room! I will definitely be staying here if I ever make it back to Salamanca!

Disliked: I liked everything.

Liked: Carlos was incredibly helpful and extremely knowledgeable about Salamanca, where to go and what to see. Carlos = the man.

Disliked: Slightly confusing to find because you have to be buzzed in the first time, but after that it was easy!

Liked: Right on top of the city centre, incredibly cheap single rooms without bath. Airy and breezy, clean.

Disliked: Internet intermittent; host disappeared but it was weekend.

Liked: centrally located between Plaza Mayor and Cathedrals, very clean, very nice staff (we arrived very late around one o`clock at night because we had missed the earlier bus in Madrid, but they waited for us) - by all means recommendable!
