Liked: I like the rooms,wc and showers which are very clean and I love the roof top of the hostel.It is located in the center of Marbella and its really good for a hostal.

Liked: I've traveled the world over and stayed in a zillion pensions and hostels. This one is the most fun. Lots of young backpackers, a rooftop terrace for sunset drinks with the patrons, a good vibe at the cafe downstairs, and friendly, English-speaking owners. Also, it's just a 5-minute walk to the beach, and a 10 second walk to the center of the Old Town, where all the restaurants and pubs are. Overall, one of the best places to meet up with new people if you're traveling alone, and one of the friendliest places to chill out (or go wild!) if you're with friends. They have a facebook group which is worth checking out for more info.

Liked: Hostel Pilar was very clean and tidy. Another bonus was how central it was to the old town and centre, only 3mins walk to the beach. The owners Mike and Trudey were very helpful. We took a car and parked at the multi storey carpark oppisite the hostel. At 27 Euros we thought it was good value for 3 nights considering how central it was. I recommend viewing the Flemenco show from the hostel roof terrace which is next door but you can view it for free from the terrace.

Liked: Great place to stay in Marbella. Not a hostel where you meet people and socialise, so don't expect one. But we had a nice private room and bathroom to ourselves. Quiet and in a great location in the old town. The owner is really friendly and helpful.

Liked: there are only two good things about this hostel: it is right in the old town of marbella and only a few minutes away from the beach. i would not go there again.

Liked: Not a lot - this hostel had very little atmosphere and the staff were quite unfriendly. The reception was very dark and unwelcoming. There were no credit card facilities for payment. Hopeless hot water system, uncomfortable beds and sheets were stained. The main redeeming feature of this hostel was the location.

Liked: The property is in a good location near amenities. Seems like a safe and tourist friendly area. Distance is walkable from bus stn but the place is a bit difficult to find since its tucked away in a little corner, description on how to get there could be made better. Property clean, good size room and comfortable showers and loos. Excellent host too i must say.

Liked: The location, presentation, free wifi, rates and very friendly staff :) i wasnt able to spend much time at the hostal due to limited time in marbella, but would most definitely come back here and certainly recommend the place!
