Liked: I want to tell everyone its rubbish so that I can guarantee myself a room whenever i like...the staff were really friendly tons of useful info and advice, the building is really nice, the rooms great especially the hat stand, artwork brill, nice bathrooms.....good breakfast.....its easy to find if you read the directions the other way round ie: its down the second street on the left after the church not on the right...

Liked: Very friendly, helpful staff. The building - a lovely traditional Spanish house - is offset by the weird and wonderful decor inside, giving an atmosphere of warmth and colour.

Liked: having a small bar in the hostel. good for a drink on the terrace. the very well-equipped kitchen. large fridge so i can buy juices and yoghurts and store it during my stay. friendly receptionist, though they are not knowledgeable about tourist attractions. separate toilet and showers mean you get people through it quickly. free wireless

Disliked: lockers in the shared room don't really lock, you can jiggle it so the latch drops and the door swings open. they also left a key in the door of the bedroom when they were expecting the next occupants to arrive, which means anyone could have entered the room. sticky doors mean lots of slamming. definitely not a place for sleeping in.

Liked: The staff were really helpfull, the rooms were clean and the hostel had a nice atmosphere. I really liked that there was a kitchen where you could make your own breakfast, meals and store your beers in the fridge. We didnt have our own shower in our room, althought I thought there would be one when I booked it from internet. Actually that was the only disapointment. But the showers in the hall were clean and always available.

Liked: This was an excellent find! Located in a quiet residential area close to the centre of town, it has everything you need. Very good for self catering as well. I'd recommend this quirky and very clean guest house to anyone!

Liked: beautiful hostel, great decor and soft sheets. I had a really lovely night in this hostel, the staff were very helpful and friendly. Kitchen immaculate and rooms good temperature.

Liked: The staff at this hostel were extremely helpful and resourceful. They were proactive with answers to questions that are normally asked. Each bedroom and multiple bathrooms were immaculately clean and cozy. The neighborhood was a small walk from the real heart of things, but is located in a safe and friendly environment. The neighborhood of Victoria Park is pleasant.

Liked: We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Alicia. We felt at home thanks to the very helpfull and kind lady behind the counter. The kitchen and bathroom were very well equiped and clean! We would definitely recommend this guesthouse to all the travellers looking for some rest and a good starting point to discover Málaga.

Liked: Have stayed in dozens of hostels in the past, and this has to be one of the best. It's in a lovely little building in a residential neighbourhood, flanked by others just like it, with beautiful architectural details on the facade and mosaic tiles inside. I had only booked a bed, so was expecting a shared room, but was given a room with a double bed to myself upon arrival- possibly because it's an 'off' season for tourists. There's a verandah out in front, raised above street level, so you can sit there and look all the way up and down the street, and I could see a nearby hillside from my bedroom window. The place was also spick and span, clean as any higher-priced hotel. Wish I could have stayed longer! Only problem was that I'd a hard time finding it- the map I printed off Google wasn't that accurate.

Liked: Rather hard to find: take a taxi! However, once there, you will have impeccably clean, spacious room, excellent showers and kitchen facilities, helpful staff and lot of common room both downstairs and upstairs. Absolute must to visit! Dorms are cheap beyond any means, double rooms absolutely fascinating.
