Disliked: Very noisy not possible to sleep

Liked: The appartment is clean and lightning. There is a public acces to internet. Just in front of the appartment there is a fruit shop. It is not too far of the main attractions. Ilan gives you a free map when you arrive.

Disliked: Ilan and the girl who work there just speak english. It is at the 3rd or 4th floor so it is a bite ward to reach the appartment with luggage. The travellers must have ears chorks to sleep because it is a bite loundly outside.

Liked: The Staff were extremly helpful, they gave us an excellent introduction to the town and even accompined us to the hospital to translate.Also the location is good, within walking distance of the beach, shops, bars and clubs.

Disliked: 3 flights of stairs

Liked: very clean. ilan was very friendly, gave us useful tips for our stay in malaga (beaches), we could take umbrellas and strawmats to the beach. and the best: ilan allowed us to leave our baggage in his hostel after check out, and we could even cook and shower the whole day after check out. thanks again!

Disliked: no airconditioning.

Liked: lovely and very helpful staff. Mr Ilan was always there to anwer any of my questions about Malaga Nerja and even Granada. (everything in english) I got even maps of Malaga and Granada. Room was very clean i had ventilator in my room so could easily survive very hot nights in Malaga. Hostel very close to the city centre and around few shops with food, nice bars in place de la marced and 2 minutes to supermarket and fruit market.I definitely recommend this hostel! and going to come back there next year

Liked: Very nice and helpful owner, well equiped kitchen, place close to most of atractions of Malaga

Disliked: it was very hot and stuffy in room, we stayed there during Malaga Feria so the prices was much higher then should be for offered standard

Liked: The cleaner was lovely and the location was brilliant. But otherwise...

Disliked: When we arrived the rooms were filthy, Ilan is creepy, the communal showers and the lack of hot water, minimal food, street noise, Ilan wouldn´t do anything to help us really (everything helpful the cleaner did was simply undermined by Ilan), what´s more a ´6´ room is more of a ten room. No privacy. There are other cheaper and ten times better hostels in Malaga.

Liked: The personal service from Ilan himself was wonderful! The perfect location, a short walk to everything you need. The apartments were cozy and genuine, and there were people from all over Europe living in the dorms.

Disliked: Once the dorm was cleaned a bit to well; I lost some of my personal belonings which where considered as crap... The included breakfast only consist of bread and jam, and I guess you could have asked for a little bit more than that...

Liked: The staff was very friendly and directly. When you are Check-In the stuff takes 10 min for you. They explain you everythink beginnig from the Hostel and from the sights of the city. Also very good was that you get Coffie, tea and bread all the time for free.

Disliked: It was not easy to find the hostel. It was only a very small sign by the clock. And the street where the Hostel is located was very busy all the time. You hear the traffic all the night. But we could close the window but is was a very hot night.

Liked: Ilan is incredibly friendly and helpful. Likewise everyone at the hostal was friendly and up for going out so it was quite easy to meet ppl there. Excellent location.

Disliked: Only downside is that there isn't an elevator

Liked: The owner Ilan was very helpful when we asked questions. Breakfast was also provided and the kitchen was quite nice so we always had food at hand. The location is also great, really close to the Alcazaba fortress and Gibralfaro and also walking distance to the beach and local bus stops (including airport bus).

Disliked: Beware if you are carrying a lot/heavy luggage as there are no lifts in the building (we had to carry our suitcases up and 3 flights of stairs!). There is also no sign on the building labelling the place, so you need to call the owner to get directions. We were also upset that we requested and paid for a private bathroom but ended up having to share with other guests. Another downside is that the only view from our window was into the corridor/hallway of the apartment where other guests were passing.

Liked: close enough to all local sights. 10 mins to beach and centre. room was spacious

Disliked: oven does not work in kitchen- little difficult to cook. Only one shower with hot water for whole hostel. Didnt have to wait thogh as was quiet enough there. No air con, just a fan, so had to leave door open onto busy street all night

Liked: Homey feel, very clean. Good location. I'd recommend it, but not for the summer months.

Disliked: It was REALLY HOT in the apartment. There's no A/C and summers in Malaga are hot, a fan wasn't enough. Also, don't believe in the 'breakfast included', what you get is just access to cheap bread, margarine and jam, so you can make yourself a sandwich.

Liked: The hostel is clean and quiet - great if you want a young atmosphere but a good nights' sleep as well. Ilan is wonderfully hospitable too.

Liked: Clean, well-located, breakfast included, beach within walking distance, with parasols and bat and ball to borrow free of charge; kitchen with cooker and fridge; located in the historic quarter and very close to the entertainment district; and in Ilan a friendly, helpful proprietor.

Liked: I like to thank IIan and all the travellers I met at this hostel. I had an accident at the Alcazaba in Malaga, and sprained both my ankles. As a solo travelller, this was very worrying, but IIan checked I was OK, got me some cream from the pharmacy, and even the housekeeper was kind enough to make me some pasta while I had to rest for 2 days.Thanks to all the travellers who cooked for me and filled buckets with cold water so I could put my feet in them. This is a great hostel and I recommend it to all. Plus, IIan - I still have your umbrella which I use as a walking stick!
