Liked: Nice staff (Speak English too!) Clean and tidy - and a fabulous shower!

Liked: super-friendly staff - helped us out when we got robbed right before our arrival at the airport and had to report to the police station nearby. plus free upgrade of the room as a sign of compassion. wow!! value for money is hard to beat. clean nice rooms, good service, salamanca is a nice and well-situated part of madrid with very good metro connections

Disliked: rooms are indeed badly soundproofed. but we had luck and very quiet neighbours

Liked: Just needed a place to stay the night before an early morning flight out of the airport. It was fine, nothing special. Would stay there again if I needed to do that again.

Disliked: Didn't stay long enough to really find out. Staff could have been a little more friendly.

Liked: Very clean and quiet Hostel. Nice to rest after long night of party at Madrid crazy night. Nice located , 5 min from metro station and supermarket. Right in front of Sweet & Salty, a nice and cheap place to have a nice breakfast.

Disliked: Very Small room.

Liked: It was near where I had my meeting the next day.

Disliked: The previous occupant of my room had smoked and it was impossible to eradicate the stench in spite of leaving the window open and putting the ventilator on. Small, basic communal bathroom in passage.

Liked: Clean, modern, placed in a good district, close to cafes, shops, restaurants, supermarket, and 2 metro stations. Comfortable room, clean and warm. 2 bathrooms to share with only 3 more rooms on the same floor.

Disliked: One of the showers too small.

Liked: I stayed at Hostal Salamanca 12 days and I was very pleased.

Disliked: I am sorry that I could not stay longer.

Liked: Very friendly, English-speaking staff, perfect location. Clean and tidy, air conditioner in room, and they even have a small fridge on the floor for guests.

Disliked: Absolutely zero sound isolation - both internal and from outside. I had a room facing internal yard and it worked as sound resonator/amplifier and there was no view from the window :/ Plus very thin walls so when neighbors were chatting i felt like they are yelling in my room actually, and it happened everyday from very early morning till late night.

Liked: Good location and friendly staffs. The room is fantastic, bigger than what I thought.

Disliked: No access for kitchen and the internet is not good.

Liked: The staff was really kind and there was no noise.

Disliked: Our room was a smoking room, and the wall and everything had smoky smell, but we don't smoke. So it was disturbing.
