Liked: The room was perfect for what we needed. Good to have an ensuite and fresh towels as well as cleaning service everyday. Same price as a hostel for these hotel perks. Great location right of Plaza del sol.

Disliked: We were told to be quiet in less than a polite way at 9.30pm when we were just getting ready to go out. All we were doing was laughing and chatting and it was hardly late...especially for the Spanish. If it had been later we would have understood, but made us slightly uncomfortable for the rest of the stay. Thankfully we were just 3 girls on a city break for a chilled time. Would defintiely not be the place if you were looking for a sociable travelling experience!

Liked: Excellent location, clean room and comfortable beds, air conditioning, and an amazingly helpful guy working in the reception. All I needed for this stay.

Disliked: Internet was expensive to use.

Liked: Had twin private with ensuite. Very clean, roomy, quiet as off street, beds comfy, window, like hotel.

Disliked: Poor wifi. If others closed their doors quietly, walked quietly, didnt snore loudly next door, or danced upstairs... then it would have been really quiet. People need to think of others.

Liked: It's definitely in a great location less than a block away from the Metro. Puerta del Sol is close to a variety of restaurants, shops, and nightlife for any kind of budget. The sleeping arrangements were modest but extremely clean and tidy, service included bed service.

Disliked: The only minor dislike is that the staff speak little English but you really don't need that much Spanish/ English to communicate.

Liked: Great location. Very clean rooms. Private bathroom! More like a hotel than a hostel.

Disliked: Kind of an inconvenience having to leave the key at the desk every time you left, but one less thing I needed to carry with me/worry about losing.

Liked: The best thing was the location - it couldn't be much more central.

Liked: The location is super, the heart of the city is at 50 meters. Restaurants, snackbars and cafés, AND the police station are near The hostel itself is clean and secure.Very positive is the personal safe in your room (cost=1 €). I recommend to use it for valuables, etc.!!! Madrid is in fact the kingdom of pickpockets !

Disliked: Most of the staff are kind, but not all ! Do not use the phone of the hostel, the rate is three times the real value. Telephone shops, very near, are normally priced !

Liked: Fantastic location - just off of Puerta del Sol. I had a room towards the back of the building and it was very quiet - no street noise or noise from surrounding rooms.

Disliked: The elevator did not work. 2 floors upstair through the stairs with a 20 kg bag! Also, It seems I was staying on a anex of the hotel, all the way across the building where no one could hear us or the wifi reach us. This was by far the worst hostel I stayed at in the 20 days that I had been travelling. The couch I slept in was all broken and it had only 2 minutes of hot water. Bad bad and shower.

Liked: The place was in a good location and the internet worked really well. The bathrooms were really new and everything was very clean.

Disliked: No one really spoke english. It was fun to practice my spanish, but for someone who can't speak spanish it's impossible to communicate. The room was tiny, but we managed.

Disliked: The triple en suite is very small for 3 people. We were two so it was just right. The 3 day minimum was unnecessary.
