Liked: Good location in the heart of Madrid.

Disliked: They didn't have our correct balance written down when we arrived and tried to charge us more. Room smelled very smoky.

Liked: Really good location in a safe neighbourhood, owners really kind and helpfull. I was travelling alone and it was a great choice, small but clean and nice room. The street is busy and noisy till midnight but this is not a problem, actually. From the train station, easy acess by bus or taxi (5 Euros the ride), internet Wifi

Disliked: nothing at all..

Liked: The private bath was really nice and the stay was fine overall.

Disliked: It is true that if you come late, you will be greeted by a lady in a bathrobe who doesn't speak English. But the communication was fine. The hostel seems like a converted apartment but was nice.

Liked: Staff was wonderful and friendly. Didn't speak any English, but still easy to communicate. Had maps and the rooms were clean. Shower pressure great, room a tad bit small, but good size compared to many other places.

Disliked: Found two cockroaches, but we were staying with a couple other people who had a room down the hall, and they didn't see any.

Liked: It was very close to a metro line which was very good for girls when it is dark. Clean, tidy and central.

Disliked: We arrived in Madrid later than expected so we didn't arrive at the hostel until 12pm. We were met by an old woman in her pyjamas and dressing gown. She spoke no English and in general we felt like we hadn't been welcomed but had been more of a nuisance to her. No problems other than that.

Liked: Great location, close to city center yet quiet

Disliked: It seemed unorganized. When I first arrived, I was told they´d given my room away, but when I said that was unacceptable, all of a sudden there was a room available to me, but they turned away two other people instead.

Liked: Perfect position close to the centre but silent, staff kind and funny, very clean, confortable bed, bathroom into the room, good price comparing to the quality!!

Disliked: everything is good

Liked: Location is good. Within 10 min walk to Atocha. C/P value is OK.

Disliked: Decoration and sheets are old. A little dusty. Noisy if open the window.

Liked: It is in walking distance to the most sights. It is near the Atocha station, where is the bus stop for the bus going to the Airport. There is the subway Station (Anton Martin) about 20-30 meter from the hotel, although we have not use it because everything we wanted to see was in walking distance. It is very clean. There are many restaurants and small supermarkets on the Atocha street where is the hotel located. I would definitely stay again.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: it was really clean and the location (near anton martin metro) was excellent. I`d recommend it to anyone staying for few days in madrid.

Disliked: the inner balcony was sometimes little noisy.

Liked: The property was clean, secure and well maintained. The owners were fiendly and helpful when we requested to have the room changed to one more quiet, facing the inner court. Great location, close to subway and railway station. Please note that from the railway station there is a fast bus to the airport.

Disliked: The rooms facing the main street may be noisier for people who like a very quiet environment.

Liked: The hostel is like a Spanish home- very comfortable and old-fashioned.

Disliked: There is no lift, and although the hostel is only on the first and second floors, this is a problem if you have heavy suitcases! Also, I was woken up by the person in the next room having a shower- it's not very sound proof.

Liked: Great location, easy to walk to major tourist attractions. Rooms extremely clean. Would definitely stay here again. Very helpful with information. Close to train station and airport bus stop.

Disliked: Hard to get contact with reception as there is no desk.

Disliked: staff is friendly and helpful but their english is very poor. no common area. there's nothing to do other than spending time in your room.

Liked: I stayed 3 nights in a Private Twin, the rooms are really good, the location are good too.

Disliked: Nothing to complain.

Liked: Very good location near Prado and other artmuseums and Parque del Retiro as well.Close to the metrostation. Good beds. Very nice bathroom.

Disliked: When the window was closed it was a smell of smoke in the room.It disappeared when you opened the window.

Disliked: Not that easy to find. had to get taxi to find it but after you have found your bearings very easy to find and good location to nightlife and close to subway.
