Liked: It is right in the center of Madrid, and the staff is very helpfull. The room we had was big and the bathroom was nice and clean. Consitering what we payed, we get alot for our money at this Hostal.

Liked: The room was clean, air conditioned, quiet, and very pleasant. The service was great. I even got help with bringing luggage up the long flight of stairs. Very friendly staff.

Liked: location was great and our room was huge but it was very noisy not from the traffic but from the other parts of the hotel which spoilt our stay somewhat

Liked: It was only a short taxi journey from the train station Atocha (cost about €6) and has a metro stop a few seconds from the door. Very good location - within walking distance to the Plaza Mayor and stops where you can get the tour bus from. Staff were friendly. Quiet place.

Liked: Perfect location, right near Prado, the park, flea market and the Huertas bar district. Location right on a main strip, but still pretty quiet. Nice rooms, but hostal staff was quite useless; when we checked in, the manager's mother took my passport and I wasn't quite sure how to get it back.

Liked: A huge plus is the convenience of the metro (San Martin station) being almost literally at your doorstep. Many major sites a short walk away. Mind you, most hostels are probably very close to a metro in Madrid. I highly recommend the metro - you can get to and from the airport including all unlimited transport throughout the city VERY cheaply, and it's amazingly efficient, frequent and clean!! This hostel was decent, the room was nice and cosy, but we were right next to Calle Atocha which was very noisy all night. If we hadn't been so tired I daresay we wouldn't have slept too well. It's a funny little place with creaky wooden stairs. Fairly homely, and feels very secure.
