Liked: Decent hostel,hard to say anything bad about it.However, there's not that much great to say either. There is free internet, but the computers only work half the time. The bar never opens, and they just seem a little strict for a hostel. However, it is a great location, and very secure, and ifyou want a bar that badly cats hostel is only just up the road.

Liked: I was amazed that for mere 15€ i have got even a decent breakfast. Not so amazed that the second day was for 25€, but i guess it was because it was friday/saturday night.. Anyway, it is nice, clean, reasonably priced place to stay with friendly staff and decent wifi internet. Recommend.

Liked: It is run more like a hotel than a hostel so be on time for breakfast and check out. the bloke om reception was great. it is a little bit informal and as it is a big hostel stricter than other hostels but still pretty sweet.

Liked: Other people sharing the room with us have been very respectful, even though it is mostly a place for students (=always drunk).

Liked: Nice place to stay. Very well organized and functional. Not very helpful staff, but a good deal for the money. Free breakfast and internet. Very safe locks and lockers inside the room. Good location, at walking distance from main attractions in Madrid.Would recommend to anyone.

Liked: This is my favorite hostel in Madrid. The layout is really well organized and I paid for a six person room but was pleasantly surprised to be in 4-people room. The watch locks are a little weird, but I guess they work fine for the lockers and common doors, though less for the actual door. The rooftop is nice to relax on. Really good value.

Liked: If you can deal with rooms with broken air conditioners in the 43 degree heat that is Madrid, then this is the place for you. This was my main problem, only because the rooms are relatively cramped, so you need all the air you can get. Staff also made me wait 30 mins to check in whilst changing shifts, which was a bit poor as there was only one other person to check in and it takes only 30 secs!Apparently the place to stay is Cats, the affiliate of Mad only two blocks away, although I didn't stay there.

Liked: I stayed for a couple of nights in Mad Hostel. The location is great, lots of restaurants and shops close buy. The atmosphere is the hostel is good, the only complaint i have is that the dorm rooms are tiny- as in there are 6 bunks in the room when there is only enough room for 4!!

Liked: Extra safe, to an extent you start feeling you're in a federal bank.They have a nice lounge with a pool table and a beer machine, a cool spot to meet fellow travellers.Quite short on activities tho!

Liked: watch out for the prostitutes by teh churro shop..very strict about checkin/out times. the beds and rooms are very small..the elecontronic devices they have to open things are ridiculousy stupid and difficult to use.

Liked: not so clean... Staff could be nicer... and the smoking area is not divided with a physical zone, so all the bar is a smoking area!!

Liked: The watch security system is great. They have a food vending machine downstairs with real food...croissants, sandwiches etc...a lifesaver when I was sick and couldn't venture out for food. Great facilities...gym a bonus!
