Liked: Superb location, only the Ritz is closer to the Prado! (and even then just a few meters) The hotel is really very basic and you share bathrooms, but it is clean, safe and they have tried to give it a home-like atmosphere.Only the check-in procedure is awkward since you have to go to another hostel nearby where you have to wait for someone to bring you to the Sudamericana Hostel where you can then 'really' check-in.Conclusion: unbeatable value for money for (young) people with a limited budget.

Liked: it was clean, we had a private bathroom which was fully functioning and clean, the location was very convenient, loads of storage space with wardrobes and cabinets, the view was lovely as we were on the 7th floor - i dont think there was any heating though, but as we were only there for one night it was fine

Liked: The location is right in front of the "Prado" and very close to the centre,the Retiro,the Thyssen so you don't even need to buy tickets for transports

Liked: The hostel was very cheap, in a very good location, in walking distance of all main sites. the owner was lovely - he used to be in ZZ top i think! it's basically somewhere cheap to lay your head while you're enjoying madrid

Liked: It was in a good location. To check out all you had to do was drop the keys in a mailbox. You also got your own set of keys for the whole time so you did not have to bother with reception.
