Liked: The location, view, was warm enough even in winter

Disliked: It was on the 8th floor and the lift had a few problems occasionally...being on gran via, the noise is horrendous, had 3 hours sleep in 2 nights, if you're deaf maybe you don't mind!

Liked: This hostal is in a great location if you want to enjoy the nightlife of el Chueco. It was pretty cold in Madrid when we were there but our room was nice and warm and had a great view.

Disliked: The hostal is on the 8th floor however there is a lift. I wouldn;t recommend this hostal if you don't have a close relationship with the person you're sharing with as the shower is in cubical with glass doors in the corner of the room. Also the toilet was right down the other end of the hostal.

Liked: The location was excellent, well communicated, room with great views, lots of room and although it had plenty of light in the day, at night the curtains kept it dark. The last day, they didn't charge us in the end for keeping our suitcases until we left for the airport (1,5€ x suitcase).

Disliked: The noise in the street: ambulances every 1/2 an hour from 22h until 7am. They need double windows in those rooms. Also, we didn't get the room cleaned or the bed done in the 2 days we stayed, and the room kind of stank of poo, or toilet, or something rotten. The locks and the doors need to be changed: they are old, and look pretty unsafe. Also, there's hardly ever anyone at the reception desk (although if you ring the bell, they come quite quickly to attend you).

Liked: Cebtral and close to all amenities. very close to the metro station! very friendly staff!

Disliked: no w.c in the room. was slightly noisy at night and no member of staff intervened.

Liked: location, just in front of Plaza Callao. The view is great. the shower also, and it has tv and wifi.

Disliked: the lack of common areas.

Liked: Really nice place. Staff very useful. Location is not central but easy to get to on a metro.

Disliked: Hostel is on the top 8th floor, staff was friendly,however you can communicate with them only in spanish!, breakfast was very small, literally toast with jam and coffe.

Liked: If you're on a low budget it's a good choice. The owners are very friendly, the employees are rude and trying to ask money for everything. The place is pretty clean and spacious. The location is great.

Disliked: some employees are rude (nothing new in Madrid) and some beds need to be replaced (matrasses) I slept on the sofa

Disliked: is not a hostel. Is a kind of hotel called "hostal" in spanish. Still a good option

Liked: the private ensuite i took was really nice, clean and pretty big. It has got every needed. I did not stay enough long to check the whole hostel but i will strongly recommend it to anyone who want something cheap but with all the facilities of a good hotel.

Disliked: Maybe only two things, it is located at the 8th floor and there is only one lift for the whole building and the staff does not speak english but we are there to learn the language so it is not really a bad point :).

Liked: Very well located. In the center of Madrid.

Disliked: 1) NOISY. At night, it gets LOUD. Hard to sleep. Besides, everytime somebody wants to enter the hostel, he or she has to use the ringbell. SOOO annoying, since this bell is heard from everywhere, ie: Even when you SLEEP. Ding Dong at 7 am = Not cool. 2) The bathroom. I mean come on. There is only one, and you cannot throw the paper in it. You have to use the trash can. Both unconvenient and messy.

Liked: First of all, the location is excellent, right in the middle of Gran via...Then you have a subway entrance just in front of the Hostel.The only problem is the noise of the busy streets and the traffic. If you want to enjoy yourself the location is the perfect place for visiting Madrid for enjoying the nightlife.Very convenient... If you can get a room with double balcony the wiews are amazing...

Liked: The atmosphere and rooms were very clean and cute. We had nice terraces on both sides of our room with views of the whole gran via strip which has the best shopping. This hotel was also close to the boutique areas and more indie stuff. Loved it.

Disliked: The staff did not speak any english and you´re pretty much on your own to figure out where things are and what areas are safe or not. Not a typical young persons hostel.
