Liked: Fun, nice and friendly staff. In the center, 5 min away from Puerta del Sol, and all the bars, and clubs.

Disliked: Showers were dirty, and beds weren't too comfortable.

Liked: The location was decent

Disliked: The man who appeared to be the owner or at least the boss was incredibly rude and disrespectful. There is no communal area except for the kitchen and we were yelled at for using to space to sit and talk.

Liked: Nothing.

Disliked: Don't bother. The hostel was not clean, the staff were rude and unfriendly, particularly the owner, except for the young male receptionist who was very helpful and talkative. The bathroom and kitchen was constantly dirty with used plates and food left lying around, the owner was very rude and disinterested in his guests. The hot water often wasn't on and had to ask for it to be turned on a number of times. The rooms were freezing at night despite the fact they had heaters which weren't being used. The wifi didn't work, and we were kicked out of our room while they made beds in the morning. The reception wasn't attended to 24 hours as is expected in a hostel for international travellers, and therefor access to the hostel was limited to whoever had a set of keys. My friend was abused and insulted upon leaving simply because she told the owner what she thought of the place. As a result we are no longer welcome to stay there. I wouldn't be anyway... I sincerely do NOT recommend this hostel.

Liked: The location was great, directions provided were very easy to follow.

Disliked: There was no common room to hang out, just the bedrooms and small kitchen. It says that breakfast is provided but they told us it was served from 9-10.00 and the one day I went to check it out just saw some bread-type crackers on the table and did not feel invited to stay. Other than that they stay was very basic, rooms were clean and we had everything we needed.

Liked: The location, that´s about it. The guy at the desk was totally unfriendly and it´s the first hostel where I couldn´t at least drop my bag in my room before running to the atm to pay. I showed up late at night, sweaty as a mule after a long day of travel, and he could just care less about letting my put my bag away. Maybe that´s hostel policy, but it´s a first for me. Also, the bathrooms were soaked head to toe because of the tiny shower curtains and nonexistent ventilation. It´s not someplace I´d want to be if I HAD to use the toilet. If you have other options, I suggest you go elsewhere.

Liked: EXCELLENT LOCATION..... VERY DIRTY , ONLY ONE BATHROOM FOR WHOLE HOSTEL THERE IS NO PLACE TO LOCK YOUR BUGGAGE.

Liked: Bull's Hostel is a very cheap place to stay, it has a great location, and is comfortable. The downside to this place, is finding it. It has a tiny sign on the buzzer, but no actual signs. We spent nearly 2 hours looking for it in Santo Domingo, and we were standing right outside. Other than that, we can't really fault it, as a stag do goes, can't really be in a better place.

Liked: Best location to travel around Marid city. Close to shopping streets, train station, clubs and restaurants. You have to try Buffet...yummmy, only 2mins walk.

Liked: Strongest recommendiations! The owner (propably :) ) waited for us (being late!) outside in the middle of the night just to have us find the place easier. Very friendly atmosphere, everything you'd need in a kitchen or nice bathrooms, all those combined with good location (just outside the subway's station) - I promise you'll not be dissapointed choosing this place to stay in :)

Liked: Day shift guy, Andres super cool hippie spanish cat and night shift guy, George very kind and helpful man. It's a tight fit, but feels like home in the city. The bunk beds are REALLY creaky, but if you have ear plugs, use them. There's 2 showers, but I never had to wait. Overall, this place was great!! Would totally stay there again because its the cheapest I found within Madrid on hostelbookers too.

Liked: Nice place, great central location, the weekend guy was very laid back, nice and helpful. Good kitchen facilities. 1euro everytime you wanted to open locker but if just keeping passports and stuff there not really a problem. The pubcrawl was pretty fun aswell.

Liked: Very central location, just beside metro station and within walking distance of the main attractions. The hostel is in an appartment block. It's small and homely, good friendly atmosphere. Staff are very welcoming and helpful, with a few good tips on what to do in the city. At night, there was a bit of outside noise from the street (esp. Saturday night - to be expected as it's so central), but in the hostel itself people were considerate of others and kept noise down for those sleeping. Simple and very relaxed, a bit like staying at a friend's. Would definitely go back, and would recommend to others.

Liked: The place is clean, the staff were super friendly, the location was awesome. There was free internet and a really good kitchen, the only downside of the whole place is that the small kitchen is the only common area.

Liked: Good location, Friendly and helpful staff. The hostel only has two share bathrooms for guests so it was difficult to manage between the 14-16 guests staying there. The breakfast is very very basic so expect to eat breakfast at a cafe each day as an additional cost. There is no secure lock up luggage area, rather it is just placed in someones room until you collect it giving anyone staying in that room the ability to sift through your belongings. Overall it was an OK hostel which was clean and tidy.
