Liked: An average hostel in a very good location. The rooms are nothing special.

Disliked: Most the staff is not overly friendly - but they will help you with what you need. The hostel is fine to stay in in if you don't care much about the atmosphere.

Liked: Great hostel!!! Next to the metro station, not far from the center and very clean. I have been here twice, rooms are big and nice. Good atmosphere, nice staff and I loved the two balkonies with a beautiful view over Madrid!

Liked: A good hostel to stay. Nothing fancy, just small and nice. Close to the transit center, a walk from city. Nice kitchen and clean. Clean rooms. Quiet place.

Liked: The staff were great and friendly. The hostel was clean well maintained and comfortable. Facilities were excellent.

Disliked: The only small issue was that the sheets had been put on the bed whilst damp which made for a cold nights sleep. Overall an excellent visit.

Liked: The position but it is not worth it.

Disliked: Pretty old building, distusting bathroom, smelly and small rooms. The kitchen is a hole.

Liked: No one snored in our room.

Disliked: -We were made to wear wristbands like the ones they give you at nightclubs or carnivals. -The hostel consisted of hallways on different levels of an apartment building with no common room but for a small hallway. -In addition to having no soap in the bathroom, there was only one, which resulted in a line of 3 or 4 people in the morning. -The internet did not work well. -There was no characet

Liked: It was a cheap price and on a pretty central location.

Disliked: They make everyone leave the hostel from 11-14:00 which was pretty inconvenient at times.

Disliked: had to leave the room everyday for cleaning at 11am.

Liked: Excellent location, everything is just around the corner.

Disliked: Good hostel if you just want a place to sleep. It's very quiet that you can easily get bored though. If you want to party and meet people I'd rather recommend you to choose another hostel.

Liked: Excellent location and reasonalbe price!

Disliked: They asked 10 Euro deposit. I don’t know why, they give you back at the end anyway.

Liked: The staff was very nice. All you need is ask and they make it happen.

Disliked: Only thing is you have to leave the hostel while they are cleaing

Liked: The staff works hard to keep the place lovely and clean. It’s not a hudge place but this makes you feel like home.

Disliked: There is a down side of a small size too: there are only 2 bathrooms.

Liked: I had an awesome time there. There was a group of people who I met and we became really good friends. We had a great time hanging out in the kitchen. The staff was also very nice any helpful. 100%!

Liked: Cool little hostel with good atmosphere and clean as well. Really good mix of long termers and new people, all made welcome and included in activities.

Disliked: Only a few minor down sides but all in all a good place to stay and would recommend.

Liked: Lovely hostel with extremely friendly and helpful staff!

Disliked: My only negative was the stairs at the entrance but these only posed a problem when I was trying to pull my heavy case behind me! I'm sure the staff would have helped if I asked.

Liked: Very good place to stay for a couple of days in madrid. It was well priced, and there were tons of activities to do. Meeting people is easy by hanging out at the kitchen, but it's just as easy to hang out in the room and relax. Kitchen facilities were really clean and shower was strong.

Disliked: Gets noisy as it’s located on the main street

Liked: The hostel itself was great and the staff were so friendly and helpful I really couldn’t fault them.

Disliked: The only bad thing i have to say about the hostel is the other travellers staying there, in my room a lady was so rude. However United World is a great place to stay that I would and have since recommended.

Liked: Very clean and super friendly staff, cheap.

Disliked: Only down fall was the tiny room, otherwise I would stay there again.

Liked: Location was good

Disliked: They had no water at all for over 24 hours. we were not offered any alternative accommodation to wash in or use toilet facilities and had to go to Macdonalds up the road late at night! After the water did not come back on I felt it was neccesary to relocate to another hostel. They refused to refund me any money even though I was only requesting for the forthcoming night (so I hadn't even stayed the night) stating it was against their policy to offer refunds. I was disgusted as were other people staying at the hostel. It wasn't like we had a choice, I had to leave as they could not provide basic facilities such as water and refused to refund me or provide alternative services completly shocked! What an aweful hostel when there are so many better ones for the same price in Madrid!
