Liked: Está en el pleno centro de Madrid y así puedes andar en unos minutos hacia los sitios más turísticos.

Disliked: En los días que estuve allí hacían renovación en el hostel y no mostraban respeto a los huespedes. Los trabajos empezaban sobre las 9.

Liked: the bar, safety, central in the city, the atmosphere, the "patio", friendly staff, the "small" breakfast (better than nothing)

Disliked: dirty showers and toilets, beds directly under the air conditioner, only a few showers for a lot of guests, no kitchen to cook, expensive beer in the bar, the "patio" was not heated an very cold (like the bathrooms too)

Liked: We liked its proximity to many of the main sights in Madrid.

Disliked: The key system in the rooms, though secure, was difficult to use. The showers were also difficult as you had to constantly press a button to keep them going.

Liked: Having lockers that locked without needing to buy a lock, great location, price

Disliked: Only one outlet in the bedroom, no place to get changed in private in the shower room, half the toilets didn't flush, room key system could be quite difficult

Liked: Decent Location. Pretty too.

Disliked: There was a lot of construction going on, which wasnt their fault, but it was noisy and there were times you couldnt use the faculties. Got there really early in the morning and couldnt check in, was told to sit in the living room and wait, except there was basically a tarp covering us so it was freezing, wasnt offered a blanket or something for the time being. They didnt really do anything about noise control, they should have said more about respecting others at 3 am, by not being loud, which wasnt their fault again, but I felt they could have tried harder, felt I got no sleep.

Liked: All the activities thet offer like the pub crawl or the tapas experience, they are not expensive and the staff is really nice

Liked: The location is FANTASTIC. We bought a 10- trip subway card, thinking that we would need it to get to all the sights, but ended up not even getting our moneys worth. The hostel is also very secure - only people staying there can access the rooms and there were lockers large enough for a big backpack available for each bed.

Disliked: There was construction. They started at reasonable enough work hours (8:30 AM on the dot), but when you are staying in a hostel, you are probably not going to be awake at that time. Plus, it is really, really loud. The rooms don't have windows to the outside, and only one light for the whole room (of 14 people), so it can feel like a cave, and I felt bad turning on the light while someone was sleeping, but there was ALWAYS someone sleeping in the room. Also, the showers are really weird - you have to press a button every 20 seconds or so to keep the water flowing.

Liked: Great location, a few minutes' walk from Sol and Plaza Mayor. Beautiful courtyard common room, although severely lacking in furniture. Book the 19-bed attic dorm as it has powerful en-suite showers and is much nicer than the smaller dorms on the floor below. Convenient bracelet-key system to open the doors and lockers.

Disliked: It has no kitchen, or even anywhere to eat food that doesn't need cooking. Madrid is relatively expensive, so this is very frustrating. Although it has a lot of character, the atmosphere is not as good, because it has a lot of guests and little common space other than the bar (which is obviously only busy in the late evenings). Most of the staff, though competent, are cold. An exception to this are some of the staff around at night, particularly Amen and also Alex. The communal bathrooms are very bad, with minuscule shower cubicles in some of which you literally have to press the button every second to keep the water dribble down a centimetre from the wall.

Liked: Excelente; yo había estado en uno en NY muy bien ubicado y limpio, este supero las expectativas mías y de mi mujer, es mas vuelvo en unos días. Y si les tocan un par de jóvenes borrachos en el cuarto ponte tapones en los oídos y listo.

Disliked: Nada, todo lo que buscaba por el precio que pague estaba alli

Liked: The rooms are clean and large (not toomany beds in a room, even the 14 bed dorm), the bathrooms are cleaned regularly.

Disliked: There was loud construction throughout my stay here, which granted didn´t start till a reasonable time in the morning (around 8:30am) but was not mentioned at all at time of booking. A friend who arrived early in the morning was turned away and told not to come back till check in time, which is fair enough except they would not even let them keep their bags at the hostel, he virtually got kicked out. The breakfast was a bit stingy also, you had to choose between a bowl of cereal or a crossiant. At 10am on the dot you are asked to leave the breakfast area whether you have finished or not... I was literally told ýou have to leave now´

Liked: Great security as you need electronic keys to enter the hostel as well as the rooms and storage lockers. Free breakfast was nice, although it was not a lot of food it was free. The bathrooms were also very clean.

Disliked: The front desk staff was very rude right off the bat. We arrived very tired from a night train and just wanted to go to our room to sleep. When we arrived to our room we found other travelers things on our bed, as well as a room that smelled horrid. We confronted the front desk about it and she was not helpful at all, only letting us know that the cleaners would move the things in a few hours. As paying customers I expected her to want to make us happy, but instead her attitude was hostile and rude. We might of had a good stay if it wasn't for the rude staff and the smelly room.

Liked: The location was great and the bar downstairs was really fun.

Disliked: There were lots of little nats in the showers and I found that some of the staff weren't very friendly. The breakfast was also disappointing, because we had been used to all you can eat/drink in previous hostels we had stayed at!

Liked: Cat's had great staff and services. Everyone was really nice and helpful! We went out that night and were very pleased as it took only 7 minutes to walk to Kapital. I'd reccomend Cat's in a heartbeat to any friends I had who are travelling in Madrid.

Disliked: nothing

Liked: Location is good and on both side there are metro station.

Disliked: I stayed in the room number 3, where I need to share the room with nine more persons. However, there is only one plug for electricity connection. How ten people can charge respective cell phone, camera batteries or Laptop?

Liked: You get lockers, free computers and the breakfast included cornflakes but was very stingy.

Disliked: -you were not allowed to bring alcohol into the hostel and they confiscated it. -we were not allowed to play music - the receptionist was making out with a girl infront of me instead of doing his job -the key system was very bad - they had no seats in the breakfast room -very slow internet - bathrooms had slime in showers -you couldnt control shower temperaturep or pressure and the shower turns off every 30 secs and you have to push in the button again. i would never recommend staying here. definitely stay at hostel one, our friends stayed there and it was amazing!
