Liked: Great location, walking distance to pretty much everything... the bar was a bit cheesy (as most hostel bars are) but nevertheless a good place to meet loads of cool people. the only thing that pissed me off is that they kept my 10 Euro key deposit because i checked out 20 mins late (11:20 instead of 11:00). Not many other hostels enforce it especially if its only that short of a time over, but i guess rules are rules... either way, its a good hostel.

Liked: Cat's Hostel was a great place. Most tourist-attractions are within walking distance from the place--I bought a 5-day metro pass but only needed to use it twice. Tapas tours and pub crawls also begin from this hostel.The interior is set up to be able to meet people; there is a main commons area where people read/hang out as well as a cafe-esque room with electrical ports. The bar downstairs has a nice atmosphere and is fairly lively every night. My only complaint is the lack of electrical outlets in the rooms and in the commons area. To charge electronic devices, you have to go down to the cafe.

Liked: Cat's Hostel is close to transport and areas of interest in Madrid. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They offer free internet and have facilities to do laundry. There is a downstairs bar and disco for those not wanting to venture out at night. I will stay there again if I ever find myself in Madrid.

Liked: very nice buliding , a lots of atmosphere in old walls. very good localation. safe place, rooms with lockers. U wear a whirst key to pen the dorrs and lockers. Clean place. Only one thing i do not like- only one hole to charge ur mobile or laptop ect. per room so is diffcult to charge ur gears because u share room with other poeple.Very nice and helpfull staff.

Liked: great atmosphere, very comfortable comon room and baruncomfortable beds (you can not sit down on the lower bed becouse the upper bed is too low)

Liked: all round pretty good. tasty breakfast plus a bar. but i would get a new key system as it can get baffling opening the door with the electronic key. but i do like how the wristband make you feel like a hospital patient. oh and fix the computers!

Liked: The WIFI, bar facilities and free breakfast were great. Location wasn't breathtaking, but was certainly nicely central. Staff spoke fluent English, which was comforting and very helpful! Other visitors were friendly and the general atmosphere was a positive one. Very very hot though! Air-con would have been a delightful addition... A window in the room wouldn't have gone astray, either!

Liked: The atmosphere was great. It was a very fun place although also very difficult to sleep. My experience with the staff was mixed. The man in the evening was lovely and very helpful but the girl in the morning was very rude and dismissive which left a bad taste in my mouth after a nice stay!
