Liked: Excellent hostel! I stayed here five years ago when backpacking with my sister. Had a blast, so I booked another stay here last week with some friends. Had a great time once again. Consistently a great hostel. The only bad thing I have to say is that it gets smoky in the bar downstairs, but it's Europe. What bar doesn't get smoky?

Liked: The building is very beautiful but not proper organized to meet and enjoy with other people! The bar seemed nice. Nice security measures. Very poor breakfast and not having a functional kitchen is the biggest lack in a hostel concept. There was this lady at the reception, Saturday morning, that threatened, and warned us that they would take our bags to the street if we don’t pick them up before 8.p.m. ( we wanted to pick them up at 11.pm.). She was totally serious and very inflexible, and didn’t even bother to hear our opinion! I know dozens of hostels and never had a situation like that! Ever!Good quality price, nice location, not much noise, but the light in each room is not individual and that is a setback.

Liked: Location was very good. Train stop just down the road and plenty of bars and places to hang out nearby. Plus the hostel has its own bar with free internet access downstairs. The sensor activated locks on the dorm rooms take some getting used to but work fine once you get the hang of it. Worth a try.

Liked: Great hostel to meet people and chill out, was clean and had good facilities. Downside the staff aren't very friendly, the breakfast is one of the strictist i've ever seen, we had no natural lighting in our room and the a/c was sweltering one night and freezing the next.

Liked: The bathroom was not very clean, showers with controled time of water, many of them not working well, cold water on the sink, bed lines not very clean, noisy rooms.

Liked: The building is beautiful, especially the inner courtyard. The staff were reasonably friendly, some more than others. However, there was no kitchen, and my cramped dorm of 8 beds had only one electrical socket. What is more the breakfasts were mean compared to other hostels in the same price range.

Liked: Very good location! Very Good atmosphere and very helpful staff!! We didn't show up for the night we booked due to flight delay, and doesn't even have enough time to call to cancel. Instead we stayed there in the next night without booking in advance. The hostel staff is understanding, we were not charge for the night that we didn't show up! We highly appreciate this honest, generosity and flexibility! We'll definitely recommend Cats hostel to all our friends.
