Liked: The location was great!!! The room had air conditioning, tv, its own bathroom along with complementary soap, shampoo, and body wash. It was a little hard to find late at night and the bed wasn't too comfortable but other than that it was a great experience and it ended up being half the price I thought it would be for 2 nights.

Liked: Really more a hotel than a hostal. One of the more pricier places we stayed at in Spain but location excellent (between Plazas Major and Puerta del Sol) and next to Sol train station. Shower a bit temperamental and Wi-Fi coverage patchy but otherwise a really elegant place to stay. Recommended.

Liked: The location of Hostal Madrid REALLY couldn't be any better. It is not even a 2 minute walk to Puerta del Sol, and maybe a 5 min walk to Plaza Mayor. It is basically in the center of Madrid's nightlife. The staff was very very nice and happy to help the room was way more than what we expected. We had booked a private double ensuite online, but when we arrived, the receptionist told us that they upgraded us to an apartment for FREE! So in addition to our private bathroom, we had a tv, sofa, dining table, kitchen (complete with stove top, sink, mini fridge/freezer), washing machine, and complete set of kitchen utensils. This definitely made our stay quite a bit more comfortable.

Liked: Brilliant hostel, right in the centre of Madrid, very easy to find. We were laughed at by the guy on desk at 5am when we stumbled in drunk, so all in all definitely a good place to stay!!

Liked: Located in the center of the city right near Puera del Sol. Easy to walk to the main tourist attractions and a 2 minutes walk to the metro station. The staff was extremely friendly, they even upgraded us to a nice apartment. The apartment was quiet and comfortable. I would recommend this hostel.

Liked: What not to like?!! The tilted-thing-on-the-roof they gave me instead of the room I booked, and called it apartment? The ceiling of this so-called apartment that was so low I had to walk hunch-backed all the time?The fact is that I bumped my head on the ceiling many times trying to move inside ... but hey that is not important ... who cares if you have a couple of head-bumps while you live a life-time experience. You will be able to experience how the hunch-back of notre dame felt as well as what snow-white was feeling when she entered the "small-people" house!! Both in the same night at the same place!! Waw!! If you are not the type of person who is evolved enough to understand how great it is to walk hunch-backed, then you are better off staying away of this place.

Liked: The location is perfect, just 1 minute walk from puerta del sol. The staff treated us very nicely and friendly and all in all we absolutely loved it and whenever we go back to Madrid Hostal Madrid will be our first choise!

Liked: Excellent location. The owner doesnt speak much english but was trying and was very helpful. Free WIFI is best.

Liked: They sell tours from Pulmantur which are really good but the hostal only accept cash. I had taken my cc bc I wanted to pay most things with my cc the hostal could have told me to go directly to the tour offices and pay my tours their with cc instead of cash since I didn't take a lot of cash. Which made me go to the bank twice to take out money. They don't know a lot about the tours so if you're thinking of booking tours go directly to the offices it's only a 10 min walk. The staff is friendly, great location and a lot of life. You can hear some noise from your room but it wasn't a problem. Streets are more crowded at night then in the afternoon but very safe. They only have basic channels in the rooms which they all suck and 1 cartoon channel in the apartments. Metro station is right there and there is also a big ham store to buy food at cheap prices.

Liked: Nice and easy to manage ourself, highly recommendable! Helpful staff, with Internet connection and printing of documents for further traveling. Nice rooms, bath, beds and kitchen.

Liked: This is my second time to Madrid. Compared to the places I stayed before, Hostal Madrid is really a good choice for you to stay.Excellent place to stay!! Very recommend to stay here!!Very convience location to shop~ to metro~ to supermarket~ todo anything.Very friendly staff with great smile and useful information. Most importantly he can speak English.House is very comfortable and super clean.Anyway, good choice.
