Liked: the last flour...it was amazing,it's seems like u live on the roof,big flat,very cute,inside was everything whatever u need.

Liked: We ended up upgrading to a new apartment for 10 extra Euros a night. The place was really nice, the location could not have been better (right at Sol) and the price was good.

Disliked: The neighbors were doing extremely loud construction all day! Plus, the showers wouldn't stay hot and the phone and hair dryer didn't work.

Liked: This is the best place I stayed in Spain. The staff are wonderful and so helpful. The beds are made and bathrooms are cleaned daily. It's super clean. Linens are changed without having to be asked. The location couldn't be more perfect, but it's really quiet, so you have no trouble sleeping. You would be a fool not to stay in this place!!! My best friend and I loved it and we will definitely be returning soon.

Liked: I really liked the apartment that we rented. It was very spacious, with every accommodation you could think of. DEFINITELY worth the money. And the location was BOMB! So close to so many neat shops, the plazas and the pubs. GREAT HOSTEL!

Disliked: I wish there were activities that were directed through the hostel- for a chance to meet other occupants staying in the hostel.

Liked: Great place, we got an appartement with kitchen, sofa and much more space then we firstly wanted for just a little higher price.

Disliked: Maybe the walls could have been thicker, so that we couldn't hear the people next to us...

Liked: The location whoch was very close to center of Madrid and the Metro

Disliked: It wasn't very clean and again the size of the room was rediciolous, especially sinze we had booked for four nights.

Liked: Compared with another hostel I stayed few days before, Hostal Madrid is much more better!The staff are helpful...it's very important!

Liked: this hostel was amazing - they had a really better vacant room so they let us stay there and we got this amazing apartment, in the center of spain (30 seconds from sol square!) and were extremely nice and helpful. i can't recommend this hostel enough

Liked: It had air conditioning!

Disliked: When we first arrived the room smelt very musty and damp, but we did get used to this after a while! The room was a little dark and was very noisy - every time someone used the hot water in the building the plumbing made a lot of noise, which meant we had restless sleep during our stay. We were also woken by drilling early in the morning - not good if you have an hangover!

Liked: good location (just off the Puerto del Sol, near the metro + local train, within walking distance to major sights in Madrid, though that said, Madrid isn't very big, near a supermarket & eating places), we got upgraded to an spacious, airy apartment in the same building for the same price, which was very good!

Disliked: the staff at the hostel were not as knowledgeable about touristy stuff as one might expect them to be, and in comparison to the staff at some other hostals we've stayed at, quite disappointing. that said, they were not rude at all, just not well-informed.
