Liked: I liked the location

Disliked: The building is quite old and some renovation would make worthed to pay as much I payed.

Liked: Maybe it's slightly pricier than what you'd find with other hostels, but the slight upgrade in price meant an AMAZING upgrade in experience. The rooms were ambient (well decorated, cute, etc.) with comfortable beds, working (and very good) air conditioning, a kitchen with QUITE A LOT of the basics, including an Italian-style espresso maker and a fridge. Clean kitchen, clean bathroom. They even provided nice towels.

Disliked: Wifi didn't work on our floor.

Liked: It was very convenient (2 blocks from Plaza del Sol and a couple from Plaza Mayor), and the receptiion moved us into a larger apartment at the same price, which was great! They were very friendly and helpful. The 2-bedroom apartment could have accommodated 5 easily. Good kitchen, 2 small bathrooms. Even provided soap, shampoo, dishwashing liquid.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: We had a double private room on the sixth floor (under the roof). It was very nice with visible roof beams. They provided an own bathroom and kitchen (washing machine, fridge,....).

Liked: Best hostel I stayed at in Europe. First of all we were upgraded to an apartment with a kitchen, washing machine, and everything else you find in an average European apartment. Very friendly and helpful staff, especially the really sexy Eastern European girl who front desk girl who I would have brought back to the US and married in a heartbeat, no exaggeration. Great location off of Calle Mayor and Plaza del Sol, and there is also a 24hour equivalent to 7/11 convenient store right downstairs which was extremely convenient.

Disliked: Not that we were interested in watching TV, but if we did want to it didn't work anyways. Not a big deal in a great city like Madrid with hundreds of things to do to keep you busy.

Liked: We reserved a room for 3 persons, there was 3 beds, washer mashine, room was big, bathroom was big, it had a kitchen, it looked pretty much like a small apartment, very nice, and very well located. But I think they gave me this room because they didnt have available anymore the one i reserved, which was smaller.

Disliked: Well, since we lost our flight to madrid, we did not stayed there the 3 nights, only one night, however they charged me the whole 3 nights There was hot water enough for 2 persons only, the third one would get cold water. It can be a little bit noisy, as it is located downtown in a busy street, but that was not a problem for us

Liked: The room seemed more like a hotel than a hostel. It was very nice. The location was excellent, situated right between Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor.

Disliked: Nothing, everything was very nice. Although not a place to meet people, no common areas.

Liked: I liked being close to the metro and was able to walk around in the really cool area of Sol. The hostel staff were very helpful when I asked them for things and it was a nice stay for me in a Private room.

Disliked: I didn't like the feel of coming back to the hostel as there were no communal areas and very very little atmosphere. It felt more like a place to sleep rather than somewhere you could go to have a social experience.

Liked: The staff is very helpful and available 24h, they upgraded us to a bigger apartment because it was available without any extra fees. They were there at all time, so we were able to check out in the middle of the night to catch a flight. The AC was really nice and useful and the tv was fun too : they have Disney Channel and you can put it in english :)! They are the centre of the town, surounded by shops restaurants and connected to everything else. The cheapest stay i had in my whole europe trip. Adequately clean, so you don't have to worry about any bed bugs or anything else. There is an antique elevator that was fun to use, and it felt as if locals lived in the same building (super safe). I went there with my teenage brother and i felt as safe as i could be at home!!

Disliked: The safe in the bedroom wasn't userfriendly.

Liked: This hostal was amazing! it is in the center, in walking distance to any sights. The rooms were very clean and they were cleaning them every day. We had a big room with balcony and nice bathroom. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful so it is the best value for money. I will stay there again if I come back to Madrid

Liked: It was a basic hostal (i.e. rooms only; no lounge, breakfast, bar etc) and exactly what I expected. It was very clean with very friendly staff and in a brilliant location (only 50 m from Plaza Sol) in the exact centre of Madrid. Very good value for money.

Disliked: There was nothing I disliked.
