Liked: Great place! More like an economy hotel, with great decor and privacy and safety. No real social outlet, but thats not always necessary.

Liked: The male employee at the reception was really nice and has been a great help! Amongst other things, he suggested an excellent restaurant that we would not have found by ourselves...it was amazing!The room was neat and comfortable, just what we needed!thank you so much again!

Liked: Best place to stay if you go to madrid, just a few meters from Gran Via! best value for money! Ricardo is very helpfull and also speaks English! I will stay there again nest time!

Liked: Place was clean and central. I made a mistake with my booking and booked for the wrong night. Realizing my mistake upon arrival at 2am at the hotel, Ricardo, helped us to find a place to stay for the night. Staff was super friendly and place was as described on website. Will go back again and again!

Liked: Good value accommodation - daily room service - staff not overly friendly and no tourism brochures available. Very noisy on one of our nights. I told reception but no comment/apology/explanation was forthcoming

Liked: The hotel was clean, central, atmospheric and the staff were very helpful. It's noisy though, but if you bring earplugs it's the perfect place to stay.

Liked: The hostel was ideal for us. The bedroom was great for the price we paid. Toilet and shower were abit noisy when flushed or in use, they ran on an electric pump for some strange reason. the hostel was also difficult to find at first. The area felt safe and the hostel was ideally located and within 20 minutes walk of most of the main tourist attractions of Madrid and 2 minutes walk to metro.

Liked: very close to gran via station and in walking distance to plaza mayor, palacio real and museum prodo. but not recommend to walk around hostel at night (local ppl warned me). very clean and quiet. very good place to rest.

Liked: room was adequate if a bit small - entering the bathroom took a bit of doing. Room was clean. However we only stayed one rather than two nights that we were booked for as it w to found so noisy all night that we got no sleep at all and checked out to look for somewhere quieter

Liked: I stayed at a single room for one night. My room was at the first floor, next to the small reception. The room, given its price, was more than fine: it had a double bed and a very small bathroom, everything looked rather new, including the LCD TV, and was decorated with good taste. The only downside was that it was very noisy because the window was facing the street, and you could here everything going on out there. Other than that, excelent value-for-money.

Liked: Our room was very clean and well kept. The private room and en suite bathroom were great, you also get a flat screen tv. For the price, Stadmadrid is a great value. The location is good as well, one block away from Gran Via and within walking distance of all the major sites. Internet access is available but you have you bring your own computer.
