Disliked: No air conditioning as advertised in our particular room. We stayed before though in a different room which did have air conditioning.

Liked: The location of this place is very good. The room was big enough for the 2 of us and had all we required (big bed, storage place, airco). Staff was very friendly and had no trouble speaking English to us. Room was cleaned every day and towels were replaced when requested.

Disliked: The bathroom to our room was en-suite but very very small. The shower was barely big enough for 1 person. The toilet is electrical and makes a lot of noise every 3 minutes. This can keep you awake at night. Breakfast was nothing more than 1 drink and 1 croissant which was a bit disappointing.

Liked: Only stayed for one night, but was exactly what we were looking for.

Disliked: It was a little hard to find at first because the street it is on does not run all the way up to calle gran via, but that is just as much our fault for not being organised.

Liked: Great location and the apartment for 4 people was amazing. Itwas as iif it was a hotel not a hostel. Totally worth the money.

Liked: I honestly loved my stay in madrid because of stadmadrid. The rooms were lovely, the staff so friendly and accomodating. we had a free tour of madrid which was great and guide was lovely.the restaurant you go for breakfast each morning also has great lunch menu for under 10 euro you get 2 dishes of menu, drink, desert and coffee. which was great considering most places near mcdonalds there are so overpriced. also recommend the flamenco tour if you want to see the show and go out after. was good fun and great value. the staff and tour guides were really nice. really great location, didnt really need to catch metro at all for what we did. shops and cafes everywhere, supermarket and internet cafe a few streets away as well.

Disliked: the toilet in the room runs on a motor so everytime you use water it is quite loud. ours had a problem near the end of stay as well which meant water leaked a little. had trouble finding the street as the metro map called our street something different but located it eventually by using the other streets around it. there are a lot of prostitutes around but they are fine and guides said it was quite safe even at night time.

Liked: It was right off the Gran Via. The location was exquisite.

Disliked: I didn't feel safe at the property, and ended up barricading my door every night I was there. The neighbors and staff were rude and loud, and could be expected to be up at all times of the night making a ruckus. There was no sign out front of the hostel; it's only sign was a postcard sized note on one side of the door frame and a name plate on the apartment buzzer. The toilets were run by a loud motor and had to be flushed multiple times before anything happened. The area was very small and cramped, and the bathroom was claustrophobically tiny.

Liked: perfect location, max 10 minute walk anywhere. beds are super comfy, and breakfast is free at a local restaurant. rooms are definitely meant for couples or very tight groups so a heads up if you're going with an awkward number of people

Disliked: it's more like a hotel than a hostel -- no common area and no computers available for use (there is wifi though). the area is crawling with prostitutes, but the hostel does a very good job with security so not really a problem

Liked: The old man that owns this place was so sweet and super helpful, went out of his way to make us feel welcome! Really close to Gran Via and all the shopping! The free walking tour was great and we also did the flamenco tour that they booked for us which was an amazing night out, met some great people on both tours. Our room was more like an apartment that a hostel room, with our own bathroom and kitchen, plus the rooms were made up each day and very clean, super comfy beds too which was a nice change, so overall much better than expected! Not a party hostel at all, but if you want to party I'd recommend any of the night tours they arrange. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone travelling to Madrid!!

Liked: Me and my friend had a private double ensuite and we absolutely enjoyed our room,the location was also almost right in the heart of Madrid.One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in,regarding my travels around the world.

Disliked: No points that disturbed me...I was really happy with what they offered for the value of money.

Liked: Very cheap for what it is (apartment with kitchenette) which is in a fantastic location.

Disliked: No knives in the kitchen! Every other conceivable utensil but no knife. When I asked, they suggested I go down the street and buy one myself.

Liked: This hostel was right in the centre of Madrid (just off Gran Via and near Plaza del Sol) and the rooms were to hotel standard - rooms cleaned each day, no bunk beds, en suite bathrooms and a lovely feel. Despite this, the price of the hostel was relatively low.

Disliked: Not much! However, be aware that although there is free WiFi, there are no computers so you can't use the internet if you don't bring your own. Also although breakfast is included, it is at a cafe that is about a 10 to 15 minute walk away from the hostel. Personally, I appreciated a proper coffee and croissant at breakfast, but it does mean you can't roll to breakfast in your PJs...

Liked: This hostel is in a fantastic location (5 min walk) to the closest train station, very quiet street which is hard to come by in Madrid! We had a double room with ensuite and small kitchen which was fantastic, very modern and clean! Highly recommend this hostel.

Disliked: The only small issue was that the WiFi didn’t reach our room and it was not uncommon to find other guests sitting in the stairs to access the internet. When I approached the hostel about this they were very kind and even offered us a different room with access to the WiFi.

Liked: Very nice room, clean and serviced daily. Good welcome from staff, however, the room is just a room with no frills. The location is good near Gran Via and within walking distance to all quarters of the central city, and restaurants.

Disliked: There are no facilities at all ie, no kettle in the room, no dining room/breakfast included, staff not available throughout the day, toilet broken but left that way. While the location is good being in central city, it is swarming with prostitutes about 100m away and very close to late-night bars which was handy for socialising but rather antisocial later on. We had a room which was on the street side and this was very noisy at night particularly 3am-6am when pub-goers spilled onto the street, and when the 15-strong stag party arrived back one by one ringing the door buzzer and wandered into our room!
