Liked: We had an ensuite room and everything was clean and modern. They even had a TV in the room(!), not that we used in as we don't speak Spanish. 3 doors to get in the room made it secure and the location was excellent.

Disliked: My main gripe is that off the 3 staff members on duty during my stay, only one of them could speak english. Being an international back packers hostel I would expect that everyone could speak english so that we could ask for tips about the area. Other negative is no lounge area. Not that its the properties fault, but right outside the door were lots of prostitutes everynight, giving the area a slightly unsavoury feel.

Liked: The rooms were spacious and light, clean and well-furnished. There was working air-con and a TV. The check-in and out processes were quick and easy and the staff were polite and keen to help.

Disliked: The wifi network was too slow to be properly functional.

Liked: Great room with kitchen, nicely furnished with TVs and A/C, helpful staff, incredible location, very clean, safe and secure building, great value

Disliked: Some prostitutes in the area, but not dangerous, even for women walking alone at night

Liked: The location.

Disliked: The street noise. The hostel noise at night. The noise of the air conditioning. To stay on the thirth floor without elevator. The distance to the restaurant where the breakfast is served. The price of the parking, €20 a day

Liked: Good value for Madrid. Great, convenient location.

Disliked: Room was very small and too hot at night. Construction sounds from building made it hard to sleep.

Liked: Stadmadrid is very conveniently located right in the heart of the city and very close to the metro. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and clean.

Disliked: Stadmadrid needs better signage. We had a hard time finding the place because the current sign is only about 15cm sq.

Liked: We stayed in a double superior room. Very clean, shower was great, room was a good size. Excellent location and staff were lovely. The croissants at breakfast were AMAZING and the staff at the breakfast cafe were delightful. Would thoroughly recommend to other travelers.

Disliked: Keys to the rooms were a bit tricky - locks were sticky - but once we worked that out was perfect. The staff were more than happy to help.

Liked: Easy to find, very nice staff especially the girl who greeted us and had just started but was very well informed. Near everything you needed but reletivley quiet. Nice decor, very clean, really nice room for a hostel!

Disliked: Quite a lot of prostitutes around! None bothered us though, we didn't feel unsafe. If you want to meet other travelers don't stay here as there's no common areas but if you just want a nice place to stay it's perfect!

Liked: The room we stayed in was vibrant, clean and spacious. Really enjoyed it. Stad Madrid is in a good location very close to the attractions and restaurants.

Disliked: No, no complaints.

Liked: Very clean and a kitchen with freeze and microwave, very good!

Liked: Great location & value for money. Very clean. Staff helpful when prompted.

Disliked: We weren't informed when we checked in that breakfast was included in the rate. WiFi was very patchy. Payment for the stay was withdrawn from my account immediately following the reservation through this site, without informing me.. not sure if the fault lies with Hostelbookers or the hotel.

Liked: excellent location.

Disliked: they have no elevator so i had to carry my luggage up 5 flights of stairs and i didnt pack lightly! washroom is TINY!! the shower is so small that its impossible to bend over to clean your feet, and if you try to your most likely gonna bump into the water faucet and change the water temperature

Liked: Clean modern room in great location among bars, restaurants and close to lots of excellent shopping!

Disliked: The wifi is not very good. It connects ok but is extremely slow & sometimes I couldn't been get emails in.

Liked: The room was very clean and well maintained, and the staff very helpful. The room was small, but they made excellent use of the space that they did have. The best part of this hostel was the walking tour that was offered. Our tour guide was amazing! She took us around and was very informative, especially since she was doing the tour in both Spanish and English. The flamenco show tour that was offered was our best night in Madrid! Highly recommended.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: The room was very clean, modern and had good facilities. The staff was very helpful for exemple when the light was broken they managed the damage fastly. The hostel is located right at the centre of Madrid.

Disliked: There is no luggage room.

Liked: It is near everything! very good location, except for the prostitutes, but they're harmless. The room had air conditioner and TV. Quite small but quite clean too.

Disliked: bathroom is very small, but you will survive.

Liked: This was a great bargain for us! The rooms are small but super well designed with shower ANC toilet, super clean, they even shape the towels in shapes if hearts and eelefents, so sweet. It is central, u get Wifi which is great, the owner and the people on reception super helpful and sweet. It is in the heart if the city and u get a nice breakfast in a Taverna close by. Recommended ! If you need parking u have to book ahead!

Disliked: We liked all! But if u need parking make sure they have space for your car.
