Liked: The location was just perfect. IT is 1 min ( slow walking) from Plaza Mayor.

Disliked: There is no kitchen. Only hard locked rooms. A bit noisy for those who want total silence. Not the people... More like the building is noisy.

Liked: Top location... 3' from Opera metro station, next to many nightlife areas and close to major squares. Very nice room, warm and clean. Clean bathrooms, low key staff, calm and small.

Disliked: Not many things to say on the "dislike" part. Overall, one thing that could be a problem for some are the shared bathrooms (which are cleaned often) and the very low profile staff (no unnecessary smiles there)

Liked: The hostel's located @SOL which is the hub of Madrid, walking distance to shopping area and it's directly opposite San Miguel food place, the best hostel that I've been to for my 1 month europe tour. Although the owner of the hostel do not speak english, but need not worry, he's kind enough to let you understand what you need to know. Spacious room for 3 people.

Disliked: Almost none.

Liked: The hostel is minutes away from Plaza Mayor and Sol. Excellent location and you will not be disappointed! Excellent value for money.

Disliked: The hostel is quite small so you can hear noise outside, but this would not stop me from going back.

Disliked: A bit noisy as refuse collectors come in night to remove rubbish from market adjacent to hostel - lots of crashing glass from bottles! Bin in our room not emptied at all during our stay of 4 nights.

Liked: I was a great location. Everything was easily accessible from there.

Disliked: The mattresses were not great. No lift if you have a big suitcase.

Liked: Although the hotel is on the second floor each time I have arrived with a large bag a younger person of the staff has heard me dragging the bag up the stairs and come to help. Spain is noisy at night and this area is close to all the action. The exterior noises are not loud inside but sometimes those coming in from their evening entertainment can be inconsiderate. this however is common in Spain. Otherwise the rooms are small but entirely adequate and very clean as are the bathrooms of which there are plenty. I have stayed here before and highly recommend it to those who want a private room at a reasonable cost.

Disliked: The stairs and occasional nighttime noise.
