Liked: Nice hostel and the rooms and bathrooms were very clean. The beds were so comfortable compared to other hostels and we ended up getting our own room. Nice location right next to the Mercado market and within walking distance to everything else

Disliked: You can lock your room but I didn't see any lockers anywhere to lock up our stuff

Liked: Location is perfect - historical center of Madrid, near to Tapas bars and main attractions.

Disliked: Noisy environment - there was lot of fuss in the courtyard , you could also hear anything the neighbors were saying in the next room. What I missed was a little community room or a kitchen where people can meet, cook maybe or prepare coffee or tea at least for breakfast. The rooms are very tiny.

Liked: Very close to the center (Plaza Mayor). We booked a private twin but got a three bed room instead, that was a bit annoying. There were three bathrooms, all clean and nice. TV didn't work. Our room was a bit noisy as it was right in front of the reception area and we would hear people talking and coming in during the night.

Disliked: No common area.

Liked: the location is perfect, right in the centre oppostie a fabulous food market. 5 minute walk to the main square and lots of things happening. Supermarket a few doors down.

Disliked: I really liked the hostel, however if you're looking for a fun party vibe this isn't for you. The hostel's quiet and when I was there it was filled with older couples and quieter individuals. So its perfect if you want a good nights sleep. The staff make sure people are quiet and let others sleep which is great.

Liked: Had a great 4 person suite with a balcony (shared bathroom) for 17euro/night. Very clean and the location is unbeatable.

Disliked: The staff was very strict with quiet hours even though everyone in the hostel for the weekend was under 25 and partying for Carnaval. However, we were just told to move it to the street.

Liked: Absolutly uncomplicated, great location! Nothing else to say!

Disliked: If you set highest priority on cleanliness it is maybe not your favourite choice. Should NOT mean, that it was disgusting but easily not 100 %.

Liked: Hostel was clean and tidy, a comfortable place to stay for a night or two.

Disliked: The walls were very thin and you could hear every move that somebody else makes - not so good when people decide to sing patriotic drinking songs at 4 in the morning. There were also no kitchen facilities and no computer to access the internet (although wifi is available). This is made clear in the hostel description, however. Also, the hostel is quite difficult to get to from the airport via public transport as you have to catch 3 trains on 3 different lines.

Liked: Very good location and everything is right (rooms, showers...), so I think it's a nice place to stay for a low price.

Disliked: It is a little bit noisy.

Liked: free wifi, great location (near plaza mayor, near metro station Sol, near supermarket). the bathrooms are clean although they were shared.

Disliked: it is quite noisy in the midnight and early morning because it is located exactly behind the market (mercado de san miguel).

Liked: great place to live in, many places to eat at, great night life, almost all tourist attractions are in walking distance, near to gran via road, not far from atocha central station, rooms were great, clean and have TV, washroom were good and clean, all in all, its a good place to live in...

Disliked: nothing actually,,,

Liked: Small, quiet, friendly place to stay.

Disliked: It didn't particularly bother me as I was travelling with friends, but it wasn't really a place to meet new people.

Liked: Very clean

Disliked: Expensive. Very loud in the morning (street noises, even through closed windows). No kitchen. Tiny place with only a handful of rooms so bathroom noises and doors closing traveled to sleeping rooms. Also, we got stuck on a train and called to let them know we would be late--we arrived in the a.m. (too late to sleep for the night) and they were not flexible about it--making us pay for a night we spent sitting up on a train because we did not give 48 hours notice....

Liked: Great location-right across the street from San Miguel Market and very near Palacio Real. The staff was very helpful. Wifi in the rooms.

Disliked: Rooms were very tiny and so were the hallways.

Liked: good location, middle of the city centre

Disliked: We had a room on the street side, which was very, very noisy. Also, the rooms were not as promised; not a double bed and not a private bathroom. Also, the staff didn't speak any english and even when I tried to speak spanish they weren't helpful.

Liked: Great location (just behind the San Miguel market, next to Plaza Mayor), nice and clean bathrooms, reception 24/7,

Disliked: A little bit noisy, but if you take earplugs, won't have problems with sleeping :) No common room.
