Liked: A really good hostel if you travel alone, the price seems alright for me, you get tv/free-wlan/always new towels/a safe for free. The staff is friendly and helpful and the location is close to SOL which is kinda the center of madrid. I can just recommend this hostel.

Liked: Hostal was very clean, and the rooms were very good ,it is situated near the touristic places and near the metro station

Liked: This hostel was a surprise to me when i arrived to the room. the location was brilliant and It was really cheap. and they didnt raise their prices ridiciously for the weekend. It was really clean, great facilities. Internet access was free. My room was not facing the street which was great as it was really quiet. calle de jeronimo is quiet a busy street so if you do get a room facing onto it, i can imagine it to be very noisey. probably not a good place to meet people as there's no communal area and the rooms are very private.

Liked: Nice rooms, a bit small but good forniture and facilities. Bathroom very clean and well provided. Location is great, and price is very ok.

Liked: Very Close to the Heart of Madrid;Plaza del Sol, & also to the SOL Metro. Perfect Location.Clean, Very Quiet environment, Friendly staff, good facilities. The only thing which I didn't expect is my private bathroom to be a seperate room from the main room(bedroom). You have to go outside of the room and open your private room with a different key. But it's all yours! Still a great place to stay and for the money I paid I say "God Bless Astoria and its staff!"

Liked: Really good facilities - computers, kitchen, dining room, and good areas around the hostel. The only thing is its a bit of a walk to get to La Rambla, especially after a night out! The hostel is in a nice area though. But all in all, a good hostel and I'd definitely stay there again.

Liked: good central location, however very noisy at night - all the noise from passing trucks funneled up through the buildings. The walls must be very thin.

Liked: Its a great newly refurbished hostel... clean rooms, great bathroom, and we even had a big terrace!therez one problem though- the hostel signage is really poor, and had to walk around for 30 mins looking for it.

Liked: This property was average all around. It was in a good location but the facilities are very old and need an update. It is a good basic for central Madrid.
