Liked: The staff were amazing, we booked for the wrong night but they were so helpful and managed to squeeze us in. The bottom floor is brand new so everything was spotless. The bunks are slightly rickety but it wasn't a problem. The location is perfect, massive kitchen and common areas, free wifi, a top notch hostel.

Disliked: Bunks needed an extra screw but it was no drama.

Liked: Location, but mainly the people I met in this hostel!

Disliked: There was no air-cond in the room that I stayed in. Considering the weather in Madrid, I think every room ought to have an air-cond in it.

Liked: It´s a great place to meet nice people from all over the world, very communicative the structure of the hostel. Also the location in the city centre.

Disliked: Maybe a bit noisy other guests.

Liked: Amazing hostel! The location could not be better. Staff were friendly and super helpful, and the hostel was so CLEAN!!! Really well kept place -- a nice kitchen as well! Free coffee and tea helped me get through days after a wild night out ;) I was able to hang out and meet lots of people in the hostel, but after midnight they made sure that everyone was quiet to respect people who wanted to sleep.

Disliked: There were only 2 toilets for a lot of people (but I really only had to wait one time, so it's really not a problem I guess), I would love if they offered a free, (even basic) breakfast, but either way I will def. stay here next time I'm in Madrid :)

Liked: very helpfull staff... very friendly... center location

Disliked: very noisy at night... some drunk people were singing until 5 A.M. and was impossible to sleep... I recommend a padlock for luggage

Liked: The location is right in Sol that is why I choose this hostel. The first night our room was closer to the kitchen so wasnt affected by any street noise but rather was woken up around 8/9am to the sound of construction in the building. There was also a decent kitchen/fridge available for those that like to save $ and eat in.

Disliked: Not many bathrooms/showers, only 4 of each if memory is correct. Didnt pose a problem during my 2 day stay personally but i could see how there could be a bit of a wait during busy weekend(I was there on a Monday/tuesday). Breakfast not included, however tea and coffee are which i didnt use, but that is in the description so that wasnt a surprise. Also, the staff seemed a bit disorganized when it came to communicating to each other about payments and such.

Liked: Very friendly and helpful staff. Small but reasonably well equipped kitchen. Easy to meet people. Central location and easy to find.

Disliked: Our room was very small. The only window opened onto an internal corridor. The room was very warm, though a fan was provided on request. With no lift, it was long climb to the third floor with baggage.

Liked: It was very close to everything we wanted to see.

Disliked: It was on the third floor of a building and was only the third floor, but it wasn't really too inconvenient.

Liked: Good location. Room was decent. Nice to have computers for use and a little common room with T.V. Kitchen was okay for cooking.

Disliked: Kitchen had pans that were warped and tough to use. Also, not much space for more than 1 person cooking. The room had no space for bags! One guy slept with his bag on his bed and the rest of us tried to keep them out of the way, but were constantly tripping over the bags. The air conditioning did not work!! I was on the top bunk and even with the window open, I was terribly hot & couldn't sleep.

Liked: Awesome location, and a small hostel .. bathrooms were not overwhelmed with too many people in the morning

Disliked: Rooms were a little dingy, and location is a little hard to find

Liked: Sociable, lively, generally clean, great location, helpful staff, very good overall.

Disliked: Fans didn't work properly. Was very hot and stuffy in the hostel most of the time.

Liked: It was really international, really cosy, and of course in the center of madrid. The staff was so helpfull and friendly... Highly recommended!

Disliked: The only problem is that there is no elevator in the building.

Disliked: Rooms were very small for the number of people in them, and there was a cockroach in our room.

Liked: 1. Friendly staff - They offered tips on where to go for free museum times and local places to eat. 2. Great place to meet other travelers! 3. Fantastic kitchen/dining area devoted to cooking your own meals. 4. Computer/wifi access was always available - Was able to stay connected with friends and family through the internet the entire trip. 5. Fantastic location - Near main tourist area and a close walk/metro ride to nearby more "local" areas.

Disliked: 1. Showers - Tiny and not very accommodating. 2. Area around the hostel shuts down around 10pm since it's more of a tourist area. 3. Can be loud if you are a light sleeper.
